Hey guys, for anyone who watched the video and are considered to get a new racket especially high end, one of the keynotes from my personal experience as a badminton player who trains everyday is stiffness is very important more than head weight in my opinion so try it out before buying it because stiff rackets can help or hinder ur performance by ALOT

I am using carbonex 8000 i would like to switch to other racquet, I lack in technique. Most of my game style is control and like to smash too for like an opening or to end a rally. Should i go for flex or stick with carbonex

Also I loose drop shoots too feels like if there was a bit flex it could do better - my string tension - 24lbs

@@vsudbdk5363wouldn't hurt to try something like the Yonex Arcsaber 11 or similar control racquet. There are various price points too, even for that one model!

Yup. Generally, ..... Beginner - Flexible Intermediate - Mid-flex Advanced - Stiff As a beginner, I got tennis elbow playing with a 2U stiff racket.

I would recommend the volant havoc for any aggressive intermediate player. The shaft is not as stiff as most yonex’s and at this price point worth a shot. I love mine! But let my friend try it and i never got it back.

hi, i spent years to search THE best racket for me, i switched from head light, neutral and head heavy rackets. but the thing is we can have very different feelings even between similar rackets ! right now i found it: the Duora Z strike (not produced anymore sadly). i love the power for a neutral racket, the aerodynamic of the frame is amazing, but most of all it is the accuracy of this racket which gives me the best satifaction; so much close net shots or lines i take with it like with no other ones. on paper it's a very difficult racket to use but with a good technical and physical preparation, it's just pure happiness ! plus you can use it easily on single or double.

But it has forehand frame and back hand frame at other end , how could u manage it ...... I want to buy it actually Plse let me know the feeling while playing

@@rajeshbs7795 the red side is for forhand and the orange side is for the backhand but honestly you don’t feel the difference too much. The real qualities of this racket are accuracy, speed with a very good brut power for a neutral racket thank to the 3u weight. And It’s a confortable racket despite the carcacteristics it has. I am playing with a thin string for feeling and more power with 13/14kg for the tension.

I loved the idea of either compensate your weakness or increase the strength. Eventually, the game of badminton require both attack and defense to win. Attacking/smashing not only the matters of power; precision, angle and steep. Head light racket helps me a lot with this. I believe in the idea of optimizing. In my case, as I have a good technique in smashing, I'm willing to trade it off with a head light racket so that I can improve my defense and drive play.

I'm just gonna say this. Most players should get even balanced or slightly head heavy rackets. Only very few specialist front course player will get head light racket and even so, I think even balance will do just fine in that area as well. Imo, most people play best when they play with slightly head heavy rackets. Most good smashes comes from technique and being in good positions any way. A sledgehammer of a racket will not improve those areas.

Hello. I have a question. I’m currently using a 5u even balance racket and I really like it. Would it be better if i switch to a 6u heavy head racket? Does the 6u head heavy racket feels heavier than the 5u even balance racket?

quite a basic way on choosing rackets. would benefit beginners and intermidates more. i think advanced players would need to dig deep on the little things but im sure at that level you would know what you like and prefer

Thanks for your feedback! Yep, when you get to higher levels, there's definitely more that will go into it. But trying to keep it as understandable and general as possible so that it helps as many as possible!

I've got a question about head light/head heavy. So take 2 rackets at 85g set up the same way (strings, grip etc). If one is head heavy and the other head light, it must mean the head heavy one has more weight in the head, right? Now consider if we weighted up the handle of that head heavy racket by say 5 grams, so now it's 90 grams but of the same balance to the head light 85 gram one. Does that make the racket easier to play with or not, and do you think one could swing faster and therefore smash harder? I've got a 4U 100zz weighted up so it's closer to even balance/head light, and it's great for flat exchanges/smashing, but wondering if taking the handle weight off would make my smashes better in theory. Thanks!

Hmm, we haven't really experimented with weighting up the handle of a head heavy racket! But yes, in theory, that 90 gram racket would be more head light in terms of balance. It could make it easier to swing with but at the same time, the overall racket is still heavier. For you 100zz, in theory, yes, we think that it would make your smashes better just because there's more momentum in the head in comparison the the handle. So the racket would 'swoop down' in kind of a rotational movement faster as the fulcrum is lighter... not sure if that makes sense haha

Should I use different rackets for singles and doubles? A headlight for doubles and an event balanced racket for singles and mixed doubles?

Hey! Definitely head light in doubles for the quicker reaction speed! Try the head heavy racket for singles and mixed for extra power!

It's a shame headlight rackets to even balance rackets are slowly dying. Most manufacturers are doing 4u rackets weight as the norm and 295+mm for balance. Guess with technologies improving strength and weight savings this will continue. Shaft stiffness isn't getting stiffer tho to compensate for the extra head weight. Li ning and Victor are pretty flexible in 2021 to 2022.

Use yonex 100zz kurenai which is head heavy and for string use bg 80 power or bg 66 ultimax and use the suitable tension for u

Hi..i'm an intermediate player who is struggling with defense AND attack my attacks aren't as powerful as they were before and my defense is okay. Not too good not too bad. I'm currently using yonex astrox 21i which is used for smashing powerful smashes but I'm not seeing any of those.. I'm thinking of enhancing my defense. Would you recommend a racket? Any one honestly.

Just an advice, why not trying to enhance your skill specially getting a training racket instead. Training racket will enhance you arm muscle to move your racket faster as well as generate power. For enhancing your power you need to polish your timing and technique

Shouldn't flexibility or stiffness be a more important factor to players of different levels than racket balance point? I think so. Beginner - Flexible Intermediate - Mid-flex Advanced - Stiff Balance point seems more relevant to playstyle than player ability, IMO.

I like head heavy racket and I have Young alpha power 7000 (mid flex ; 28 lbs power and ; 88 grams ). ₹899 to ₹2399 (I have ₹2399 racket). And it is best with Yonex bg 65 titanium string and towel grip that's I have. But I am advance player.

Hi guys, I’ve been using the 100zz and I want to change to another racket, im a singles player who likes to smash a lot, but I would like a more comfortable feel, I’m looking for a high end racket (yonex) that can generate power but not as stiff as the 100zz, may I know what racket yonex racket will you guys recommend?

Hmm... that's a tricky one. We really liked the 88d pro in the 4U version. Honestly we didn't find it that stiff but other people we have spoken to think it feels very stiff. Perhaps if you can borrow one from a friend/team mate/other player to try?
