Every game has a GOAT.
But sometimes, there are generational players who go unnoticed - phenoms, who quietly build a legacy in the shadows of their peers.
Ropz has always been an outstanding CS:GO player - but the spotlight usually remained locked on monsters like s1mple, or even ropz’s own teammates, Twistzz and karrigan.
But with the arrival of CS2, it was finally ropz’s time to step up and claim his rightful place as the game’s first God.

I was in FPL-C back in 2016 when ropz and zywoo were there too. Ropz had won the qualifier for FPL one month but it was cancelled due to some throwing some polish players did to try and get each other up to FPL, the day after I played a match and he was in my team, I remember asking him if he was mad about having his slot in FPL cancelled and I swear to God he said "no problem I'll win next month". That's the kind of player he is Robin Kool, Kool indeed.

I don’t play CS and am only tangentially aware of happenings, but s1mple might have had a point: it seems as though Valve was expecting pros to point out what basically the entire rest of the community was already saying. You seek a professional’s opinion once you have a functional and coherent product, otherwise you’re wasting their time. Edit: Still, I have great respect for Ropz’s positive attitude and work ethic. Really admirable for him to put what “should be” aside.

The reason why Valve is asking for pros help is probably to confirm what's good and what's not, because most of the players who will complain are the one who aren't willing to adapt to a new playstyle so they will complain from day one like s1mple did but ropz was grinding and finding new flaws as well and was giving a guide on how thing might be as good as csgo or even better. Because some big names who complain as well for the bugs and other flaws were just raging and going to another game which was easier to them but that doesn't help valve as much as to give exact things and reasons that the game isn't good, that's why ropz was so useful in my opinion.
