He’s winning every map, every tournament, almost every MVP, has insane stats and is quite literally pioneering Counter-Strike into a new age.
And, no, we're not talking about s1mple.

Reading comments proves how sheepish and cowering before Valve the CS community is, defending it from S1mple. Nothing like Siege, where people had realized what Ubisoft is all about and stopped being civil, just crushing content creators like GetFlanked who bent over. Guess that's what wanting to play de_dust2 every day for 20+ years does to your brain.

Counter strike has never launched perfectly ever. Almost all games don't. So to say that simple was being rude when he ghosted valve is really ignorant because almost the whole community knew what was off with it. So ignoring the community and just asking one person instead of the community what was wrong with their game is very off putting. Props to ropz for communicating with valve. But at the end of the day, simply asking a select few players and not even the whole community of cs yet alone just the professionals is just disrespectful. Simple ghosting valve is a very appropriate response considering the issues were already being shared among the public and to valve.

My take on s1mple's reaction is that it was childish. Not to respond to them at all is childish and unprofessional. It's completely fair to criticize him for that. His job isn't to "save CS", his job is to be a professional and there are certain expectations that come with the label. A professional would respond to them and tell them straight. i.e. "I won't spoon feed you when you can read that on the internet. BR, s1mple" is the sort of response he could have given.

Dimitri’s take on s1mple’s reaction to valve is braindead. Of course s1mple would be able to give more helpful and specific feedback. The community just whines about stuff valve is already trying to fix

Good video, but ghosting being noble? Nah man. Could valve do more? Ofc. But s1mple should of taken the very rare opportunity. Imo he wasn't being "noble" he was being childish, which is pretty normal.

We all deal with the state of the game one way or another, and I think S1mple simply burnt out, and CS2 is the perfect excuse. When CS2 came out, S1mple held onto the hope that it would ignite something in him again as his performance at the last major in Paris was less than ideal (with them not even making it to knockout stages). But we all know the state of CS2 went, and S1mple needed a break because he couldn't take it anymore and he was pissed the devs asked him personally because it felt condescending.

I watched Ropz since the first day on beta training his movements, lineups and gamesense in cs2. In fact whenever i came from work and played some csgo when cs2 was in beta, i always saw a vid in youtube of ropz finding something in cs2 that day or week lol. He's been working it since day one in the beta.
