Your analogy doesn't work too well - I'd much rather buy the groundbreaking car, knowing the technology is unbeatable than a boring mini van. I WANT the sales person to tell me how much better every single detail of a new Porsche 911 is. I want to know, why the aerodynamic improvements make the 911 GT3 RS faster than the normal GT3 around a track. I won't really take it there, but I want to know. What I am trying to say: Know your audience and what your audience cares about. If you sell the an audience of car enthusiast you need a different pitch than when selling to someone buying a family vehicle; Who, by the way, aren't interested in a car, they want mobility.
