I always try to glance at large windows when we pass to check and see if the lights are on. At night it's pretty easy to tell though

@@jaylabish i got orientation starting Monday for 5 days 9-5 idk what that consists of but yea lol

@@ASMRCATT Mostly policies/procedures and documentation information. Then you get to do Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC) about two weeks in. Not gonna lie, orientation is super boring other than EVOC so make you drink your coffee😭😆

I appreciate you making this video. You might've seen my recent request that I posted on another video comments section to help subscribers pass the driving EVOC course. I was fired after 3 days due to not passing it that's required for that particular ambulance service. I work for a non emergency transport service now that does their EVOC training online (I passed). Thanks for the tips on safely operating an ambulance.

Did my first code driving last night. I was careful but not as fast as my FTO wanted. So I immediately got faster. Remained safe and stayed to the left (after being told she will only tell me once 🤣). I have no experience driving like this but did alright I think. The EVOC course got put on hold because the instructor was sick.. which I think really hindered me and my academy class.

Big tip for intersections, if cars stop are stopped at 2 lanes and that third lane doesn’t have a car, don’t EXPECT IT TO BE CLEAR ! Creep into the lane and clear as you go
