When u r buying a new car, don't forget to take some important safety precautions even if it is 8 lkh car or 8 cr car. Don't forget to place a lemon under car tyre (recommended for first drive only) and don't forget to hang a lemon and chilli above the dashboard. 😀 (the motor octane will never tell u these tips 😀)

1) The engine oil check should be done only when the engine is cold and oil has settled - ideally before you start your car for the day. Checking oil while the engine is hot will not only give wrong levels but you also risk the chance of burns. 2) Stick to the manufacturer defined speeds limits in the gear during running-in period. 3) Avoid highway drives where the engine is constantly maintaing an RPM till the first 2000-2500 KM's - this is the engine's break in period and ideally you're supposed to expose it to a variety of RPMs which is City driving 4) Be gentle with the car - gradual acceleration, deceleration and gentle shifts - this allows all things to adapt to their respective duties - the brake pads get worn evenly, the gear slots are better - overall the break-in is better

i use car for going even 1.5 km . i drive rough in pot holes . i brake hard and accelerate hard. i never do oil change on time . my engine still never troubled me. 1.4 lac km run ! Hyundai I 10 ASTA. chillax. dont take so much stress in life. Car is there so that you drive it and not so that it drives you.

Yes driving car under 2k RPM for first 1000-1500km is really helpful to understand the behaviour of the car. N sometimes taking to 4k is more than what required. Lower RPM also help for better fuel efficient. Driving car calmly u will reach your destination. Don't need to zip zap to win 5mims

Sir, What u told are exactly correct..but dealers are the main culpit...they only do the nuisence on the new cars...they drive the new cars very hard from the stockyard to showroom. They also rise the new engines.Also run wipers is dusty windshied. Their main motto is to damage new cats and hand over to customer..auto companies should provide a option to provide cars directly from manufacturer stockyard

Bhai shampoo is the worst thing to put in, just buy a washer fluid concentrate from the service center on your first service, buy 5-10 of them and keep using them after 2-3 times the washer fluid tank gets empty. Replace vipers every 6-12 months, enjoy a clear windshield.
