i want to know in what way have you doubted yourself, then proved yourself wrong :) Comment down below

First time was when I shifted to another country in 10th grade, and the school where I got admitted into, had an upcoming exam which included quite a portion of syllabus, that I had not studied. The second time was last year when my father passed away and I had my 4th year medical school professional exam coming up. Both times I doubted that I'll pass them, but not only did I clear them, I scored ammmmazing marks, all with day night hardwork + Allah's help.

I have a tendency of always doubting myself. I’m a 3rd year med student and well the most recent situation that proved I can do anything if I put in the work and effort is for my physiology lab. Where the instructors actually took the time to congratulate my work in some analysis and interpretation of some mechanisms. It was tremendous the amount of bliss and relief I felt. Love your videos by the way!!!

Hey Rachel I'm curious - do you find that you get more motivation from your passion for learning medicine or the idea of eventually helping your future patients?
@RachelSouthard2 жыл бұрын
Both! I absolutely LOVE medicine and learning, in general. But I’m sooo excited to be the best doctor I can possibly be and give someone quality care that they deserve. Sounds cheesy, but that’s what makes me tick. 💕

Ugh I absolutely love the way you validate the psych patients. I have never in my life heard of a healthcare professional speak to psychosis in such a humanizing way. Like wow, it truly MUST suck to have somebody always judging you or in your ear telling you harmful things :(! anyways just wanted to say you’re gonna be an amazing doc!

Already loving it!! One minute in and I’m with you girl! I have a list every day that I usually try to put together the night before (but add to it all day long 😂) This video is just the sign I needed. After HS, my career took the back burner to family and finally at 34 I’ve decided to go to nursing school!! Took the first steps and I have my CNA exam in 2 weeks to get my foot in the nursing door!! Love watching you and am so inspired by you putting it all out there!!! You got this!! ❤

I’ve had so many inspiring people in my life who motivated me to wanting to become a doctor, and you’re one of those people and I wanna say thank you. It’s been my dream since I was 11, and I’m 16 now. I’ve learned a lot. I can’t wait til my day comes. You’ve gotten so far and I love how you never give up. Keep going even when things get tough. I am a premed student and many times when I feel burnout I watch one of your videos and watch how hard to have been working especially the down time that you shared had very positive effect on me just to show me everyone has it and I just need to keep pushing and continue hard work and finally will pay off, you really inspire me so just wanted to appreciate that and let you know that the time that you spend in making the video and editing stuff, inspiring someone else in the medical journey, very much appreciated and very looking forward to your residency videos!! Congratulations in advance!!!

I know psych hasn't been your favorite but it's been fun to watch you on this rotation as its my field of study and I'm about to go off to "residency" next year for my degree. I think mental health has such a large contribution to physical health and that it's so important for those in healthcare professions to have exposure in practicing those active listening and validation skills that are so needed to help a patient feel understood. I've loved hearing your experience listening to patients with mental health needs and challenging yourself to grow in this area! Thanks for always bringing us along on your journey, even through the bad days!
@09gamecock2 жыл бұрын
You are definitely deserving of this and you are going to be a true blessing to your patients and the profession of medicine because you care and it shows! The obgyn that delivered my daughter was very mean-the practice I went to whoever was on call delivered, which was fine with me. I had never seen this provider before. Her being mean to me was for me ok at that time because I was lucky. I had an easy healthy pregnancy pretty easy delivery no issues I was so happy to be pregnant after trying to so long/was so happy to have the experience……. I can’t help but wonder how an obgyn like that could impact someone who has mental health challenges or high risk pregnancy/complications etc. you are going to be great obgyn one day!

I've been watching alot of nursing videos. They're pretty similar, personally I noticed I like watching certain KZbin over others; same as everyone else. Only difference is just that, I only subscribe and watch the ones I feel I can relate to. I wish all youtubers would explain a bit of something they studied in school. Because that will get thems more views; it would help us viewers find the youtuber that is the best teacher for us. It would be great...... BTW, Love your videos. Thank you for sharing. 💙

How do you other pre- med students not go entirely insane.? Currently a first year biomed major and I’m alrdy feeling like my grades will never be high enough to get into grad school. I’m worried all spend 4 years not getting any sleep just to end up in a job that I don’t really want to do anyways. Having to work full time does not help at all but I often just find myself feeling defeated or worthless like I’m doing a whole bunch of nothing. Currently sitting at my desk like my English paper is going to right itself and it’s finals week 🥹.
