Mashed Any place that’s none of the places you guys mentioned.. I’d rather pay $7+ for a normal healthy bird than 3.99 for a 3lb bird that through genetic modification grows so fast that it’s bones cannot keep up leaving most of them to walk on broken legs while alive.

I cook those chickens and just wanted to let you all know that Costco has a strict time limit of two hours in the warmer and no more. So you can be assured that your Costco chicken is fresh! ♥️
@FinnOllie4 жыл бұрын
Passions .. we separate the drumsticks and thighs and sell them chilled. You get 8 drumsticks and 8thighs for $4.99. The breast meat we use in our deli entrées: Chicken Pot pie, Chicken Soup, Chicken Enchiladas, and Chicken Alfredo . And the carcass goes into the bone barrel and just used by a company that makes good dirt. So you see, nothing goes to waste! But honestly, we usually sell all the chickens during the day. :)

@clubmogambo3214 Жыл бұрын
Hey, for $5, it's an outstanding deal. The wife and I will eat half of it after bringing it home, while it's still hot. We usually have a small salad along with it. The other half we stretch over two more meals, one where we make sammies out of the meat, the other we'll toss into a dinner salad. That's three meals for $5 - well, at least the main course part of it. Altogether we probably spend about $15 max for those three meals.
@apictureoffunction Жыл бұрын
Don't forget that after you've eaten the meat, you can toss everything that's left like the bones and scraps of meat into some boiling water to make chicken broth. The best way is to set some of the chicken meat aside, then you can shred it and add it to the broth after removing the chicken scrap, and then add some noodles, vegetables, and spices for homemade chicken noodle soup

Ok, so first I'd like to say I'd never go to Costco just for the chicken. But, I'd never leave Costco without buying 1 or 2 of them, one for that night and one I stick in the freezer for a quick meal later, (let the bashing begin). Yes, it's not as good as buying it fresh buy if you've ever been in a pinch and hate fast food, a frozen Costco chicken defrosted in the fridge overnight still tastes better than some supermarket brands. As far as the crispy skin, sure it's not crispy but, the kids still fight over it at the table and, if you've ever noticed, the one's in the supermarket that are actually labeled crispy rotisserie chicken are also the ones that are dry and overcooked AF. Will definitely try making the stock with my next Costco carcass.

The whole sodium argument they make here is comparing a THREE OUNCE portion of Costco chicken to a Double Quarter Pounder with cheese...that would be EIGHT OUNCES of beef plus condiments. So that's 460 mg of sodium for the three-ounce chicken portion...triple that to equate to the eight-ounce plus bun and condiments of the burger and you have 1380 mg of sodium for the chicken and 1310 mg of sodium for the DQPWC burger...that has the burger with LESS sodium not more....these people can't do math
