12:16 That's rain tree leaves. The leaves of the Rain Tree folded up in the evenings and that was why the Malays called it Pukul Lima, which means 5 o'clock. This was because 5pm used to be closer to the sunset hour in Singapore and Malaysia before changes to Standard Time were made on 1 Jan 1982. Notably, the leaflets began to close about one and a half hours before sunset to open about the same time after sunrise. The leaflets also close during the day when the sky was overcast, thus giving rise to the name, Rain Tree.

The free breakfast is nice but I think Honda should be sponsoring your journey or the use or gift of a new 2021 Honda Dream.

Totally agree. Come on Honda, how about it????
@somnumna26063 жыл бұрын
A new one wouldn’t have the history of Dreamy nor the character. Honda should become a Patron :-) Good to see someone has thrown a free feed your way for all you are doing for Thailand. This tourism should step up as well. But you aren’t Thai so that won’t happen.
Thanks for the information, they look like an ancient type of Tree, it’s very beautiful.

Nice! subtle drone shots that are tastefully done. I've seen so may vloggers over do it with the drone footage. Your videos are great. May I make a small suggestion, have you tried to do on camera interactions? The language barrier in the rural areas might be a problem but you had such a great repartee with that cute Chiang Mai relator. You're a personable guy give it a try. Peace.

Another great video, I am now hooked!! Even though Yala, as you say, is rather underwhelming. Looking forward to your Betong update. Had many pleasant weekends there from '92 to '98 but always entered from the Malaysian side (Hulu) having traveled the East West highway from Kelantan. Very scenic and a lot of touristy type places to experience. A new airport is on the verge of opening with the downside that an influx of tourists (Chinese?) will possibly spoil the laid back vibe. Oh well, progress..?
