I use Damp rid in my closets. It works well in that way. When I went to replace used up bags, I found one that had leaked. The liquid spilled onto several items on the floor. It was not easy cleaning the mess. That water is nasty.

Been in the carpet cleaning industry 32 years. It works best if a pro flushes it with plenty of water. It takes way more than you would think. You can tell if it’s gone by running your hand across the carpets, if still there it leaves a shiner film on your hand.

I watched someone recommend a damp rid type product, then looked into how it worked. I can’t imagine the damage a spill would cause. Thanks to you, I may wind up using these to not accidentally destroy irreplaceable heirlooms. I really like how they plug into the wall to burn off the collected moisture

Bad advice with little to no details as to why. If you maintain your safe, there is no reason you can’t use baking soda and also desiccant beads. They are the top level of dryness/ odorless storage. If you have a plug in, that’s awesome, BUT you can absolutely use these products, damp dry, baking soda, desiccant beads. You just have to know what they can and can’t do and how to maintain them. FFS this is a bad video with little to no helpful information other than a sale for the stuff in his store.

Timothy, My thousands of customers that use the Eva Dry product disagree with you. Did you even watch the video? I indicated that a desiccant bead product like an Eva Dry is better than using a product like Damp Rid.
