Didn't Beijing eventually outlaw those japanese "juku" style education towns where the students live there just to study? The whole town exists to teach students stuff. Cameras even watch them during class to make sure they are concentrating 24/7. I saw a documentary about one of those places.🤔

Notes for myself - prepare beforehand - Plan exactly what u want to study - 3 steps: 1. Most important: foundation core 2. Secondary: context and conmects to the core 3. Nice to know: when you have time to get a deeper level of understanding and have a more well rounded knowledge 😊

I completely agree with the “knowing what you are going to do” before starting studying. This was a problem I had and I didn’t realize it for a while, but I would procrastinate on starting certain subjects simply because I didn’t know what I was going to study to improve. And even when I started I’d spend time just fingering out what I needed to do to study. Meanwhile, if I have a specific study plan like “write hiragana characters three times each” it became much easier to begin because I knew exactly where to begin and end.

For example if you want to learn the japanese language you would have to find something that you should learn first. It could be the alphabet or the orthography in her case she chooses the orthography for that day. So all you need is to narrow down on what you should do for the day instead of just jotting down in your brain to learn japanese for two hours.@@byeunwooseokismine

​​@@byeunwooseokismine like if you have a difficult subject and you don't understand the topics so you have no clue where to start or what to study so you just avoid it, but if someone told you exactly where to begin and in what order, you'll know what you're gonna do and may not avoid it anymore

Verbalizing your study goals is a really good tip. I think it'll spare you from studying mindlessly for hours. If you have a goal, you have direction, and if you have direction, you can optimize retention because you'll be more efficient and less prone to studying low-yield/irrelevant material.This surely shortens study time and saves energy. Hope you drop more study gems like this.

I'm currently failing physics, but I think it's because the workload is soooo overwhelming, and the test questions are way harder than what we learn in class. This is a great video that showed my procrastinating self exactly what I need to do. But I think my step 1 will most probably be not to spend 40 mins on planning 😂😂 thanks!!❤❤

Wow this actually made me realize how I could really use the syllabus provided by my professors, which has all the objectives/goals mentioned alongside the syllabus and resources. I'd love to see how you worked with previously solved problems (like past paper Qs and assignments/homework) in the last step. Thanks!!

This was such a great video! I am just now in my second term for college and I felt like I had so much to do. I typically do the exact things listed in the video: Write out what needs to be done, figure out the priority , group things together in order of priority and then stick to the plan. I couldn't do the "Why am I doing this?" portion because tbh I really don't know yet lmao They just threw us into Functions and Function Notations and Tables, so I guess the why would be : So I can understand algebra . I usually get easily distracted, and here is something I learned from myself: so usually when I’m doing homework, I have my phone next to me and when I don’t get something I search it up instead of actually trying, so I recommend putting your phone somewhere far away and doing your work, and just trusting yourself because ur brain is very complex and you everything you know is in your brain, so if you try hard enough you can figure it out.
