*I was deeply moved by the discussion on acceptance. Embracing life as it is, without resisting change, really hits home. The analogy of the tree bending with the wind was particularly powerful. This video offers such a gentle yet impactful approach to finding inner peace*

Practicing acceptance is also beneficial for physical health. Stress and anxiety are often exacerbated by resistance to what can lead to a range of physical ailments from headaches to heart disease. I have changed my mental health for the better. The content is very meaningful to me!

Insight meditation is a method that helps us deeply understand the true nature of things. Have you ever practiced insight meditation about what happens around you and realized the deep connection between them and your mind? How can this practice help you live more consciously and fully?"

What is the difference between simplicity and mindfulness?
@wisdomdirections4 ай бұрын
Simplicity is about reducing life's complexities and focusing on what truly matters. Mindfulness is being fully present in the moment. Together, they can lead to a more fulfilling and balanced life.
@ramasarawagi81173 ай бұрын
So accurately described
@Newfoundmike3 ай бұрын
It doesn't mean your Mind is Full, it means being your own Silent non judgemental observer and not beating yourself up after you see what you are like so you can make corrections with out feeling guilty
@amccaffrey14433 ай бұрын
Mindfulness means practicing doing something (or everything) with intention and with a conscious awareness. For example: say you’re trying to stop cursing, so you’d practice being mindful/aware of when you tend curse. As you continue to pay attention (ie. being mindful) of your cursing, next thing you know you start catching yourself before you actually do it, and you can intentionally choose a different word. I think of it like purposeful attention. Or awareness and intention. Whereas simplicity is basically getting rid of the excess or clutter in one’s life, leaving only that which is truly important. This way you can focus you attention and energy on the things that really matter . Hope that helps. 🙏🏼
@MindPodcastEnglishАй бұрын
Simplicity is about reducing distractions and removing excess from life. It’s an external practice of decluttering-whether material possessions, activities, or mental clutter. The goal is to focus on what truly matters, leading to a more straightforward and intentional way of living. Mindfulness is about being fully present and aware in each moment. It's an internal practice, where you pay attention to your thoughts, feelings, and sensations without judgment. Mindfulness doesn’t necessarily require simplifying your environment; instead, it’s about noticing things as they are, even in complexity.

These are always too long. I’m not forcing anything any longer and I think now everyone in my life is saying “yay we got rid of her!” Trying to give everyone what they want from me, silence. Unfortunately I’ve become profoundly lonely, I really don’t want to keep trying it’s defeated me the lack of attention in my life. But I’m supposed to trust God’s timing but it sucks!

@AncientWisdom792 ай бұрын
I’m really sorry you’re feeling this way right now, and it sounds like you’ve been carrying a heavy burden for a while. It’s so tough when it feels like you’re giving so much but still feeling disconnected. Loneliness can be incredibly overwhelming, but just know that your feelings are valid and you do matter, even if it doesn’t feel like it in the moment. Sometimes, trusting the process or timing can be hard when everything feels so out of place, but reaching out for support-even if it’s small steps-can make a difference. You're not alone, even if it feels that way now. 💙
