Don't Get A Heart Attack or Stroke - Warning Signs

I got a heart attack but I didn't know all of the available tests. Don't limit your options. There are detailed tests besides the regular lipid panel - calcium scans, apoB, ldl particle size...and if you're concerned about your heart because of family history or high cholesterol numbers, consider going to a cardiologist.

Key points - if you think you may be at risk for a heart attack (or stroke), consider seeing a specialist, like a cardiologist. Be aware that there are other tests besides the standard Lipid (cholesterol) tests, including Calcium scans and a test for apoB. These tests can give you a better idea of what your risk factors are.
