You don’t have to do all that for the rashid stuff. Coming from a rashid player: when you see the fly after the heavy cyclone, literally just jab. You can do a juggle combo after and actually stop the rashid from doing gimmicks EDIT: whatever four frame you have usually works just fine. I also watched this video without audio so I’m not sure if you did or did not mention interrupting the float.

Too bad capcom put a paywall on labbing dlc characters that I'm never gonna play more than a couple of hours to learn how to counter them. I don't like the rental tickets because I only wanna lab for 10 minutes at a time but I feel obligated to use them for a whole hour if i spend it.

Not to defend the practice (I think DLC should be available in training mode) but afaik there is no major fighting game right now that does that. Also, for people who really want to become strong tournament players, buying DLC isn’t an option - it just comes with the territory

Good news! Capcom is adding a replay takeover with the Terry update so you can safely lab against specific scenarios youve encountered in matches. Wont help you set them up though. Find a friend with more disposable money.

For the Rashid part, except when you are knocked down, just jab, beats every version either on hit or block. Afterwards u can link it into a combo, depends on your character.

Doesn’t matter whether it’s down-back or down-forward since they both keep you in a crouching stance. It’s a weird system mechanic quirk: even it’s it’s a gapless block string, you’ll get hit low if you stand up. Edit: also thank you for watching!

Might take me a bit to get to that video so I’ll just write it out bc it’s pretty simple! All you do is input a backdash in a place where you think the opponent will either command grab or continue pressure with a *gapless* string (like manon st MP DRC cr MP or command grab in this video). The backdash will only come out if the opponent goes for the command grab because there is a gap

It’s an option select between command grab and gapless string. If manon does a gapless string (MP DRC cr MP) you’ll just block, but if she goes for command grab you’ll backdash
