Most important rule: Bring a camera, a good one! I just discovered your channel. It's very enjoyable and very well put together. My ultimate black route was Stetinden back in the year 2005. Me and some climbing friends all took separate flights to Harstad Narvik and we rendezvoused at the Svartvatnet at 800m in the south valley. I arrived at 2am in thick fog, and the plan to meet there, was 100% accurate. It was the most rewarding 3 days I've ever had in Norway, and I travel regularly to the country. OK, maybe it's not a "black" route - it's not official at all, but it has a 4 metre "severe" climbing move above 800 metres of smooth vertical slab. I had a look at the ut.no maps. They are amazingly precise, with 1 metre contour lines when you zoom right in. Much better than the old Statens Kartverk maps that we used back in the day with 20metre contour intervals.

Very good advice to bring a good camera, so many beautiful moments that are worth taking a photo of to bring these memories back home. ut.no are very detailed and helpful, however, some gray areas remain uncovered, but we believe it covers more and more trails. Stetinden is an extremely attractive mount, but not sure if we would take a 4 m vertical climb, especially if it is not properly marked. Glad you made your safe way back home, but as I understood you have proper climbing experience. Glad to see you enjoy coming to Norway frequently!

great tips, the red hikes were no match for me in 2020, but now I am riddled with injuries I will now have to take care on blue hikes
@CrazyTroll Жыл бұрын
Red hikes can be too much of a challenge for anyone, especially in bad weather. We ourselves often choose blue, if possible. And we wish you health and healing of injuries in order to enjoy hiking!

@@CrazyTroll Thanks I think I will stick to blue this year and wild camp in these areas, and if I am stronger for next year I will try the reds again

Fantastic guide! Drones are permitted at Preikestolen?
@CrazyTroll6 ай бұрын
Thank you, glad you like it! Drone are not prohibited there by means of restricted area, however there might be a lot of people, so you have to consider it as a limiting factor or restriction depending on your license. You will see a "drone prohibited" sign, but it seems to be brought by enthusiasts or municipality without any legal reason.
