Hi there! I'm a new subscriber from Central Oregon and just now finished binge watching and liking every single video you made. I love your channel! After each video I had a comment, but chose not to overwhelm you with over 200 comments in a few days...lol. I'm sad because I have to wait for your next video one at a time.....lol. Anyway after all your videos, one comment I have to say is: carrying an extra pair of oars on the boat. ;-) lol. Be looking forward to your next video! I'm hooked!!!! Cheers!

Awww hello!! Welcome and thank you! My mom always tells us that we need a spare set of oars as well... and thanks to getting that new pair of oars in Hawaii we do finally have 2 sets! ;) Monday's not too far off now... :)

Nice video guys, it was fun to watch you sailing by our home port.

That was a pretty good run from Gig harbor, shame you had to leave but when we were there we weren't very impressed with it a boat refit place , wonderfully protected harbor, but just a tourist/marina spot as far as we could tell. Were you heading for pt Townsend? Cheers Warren

Not the best for access to supplies, but it was not too far from family and access to a car for us! Being a very sheltered harbor is what we loved, hard to find a spot with 360 degree protection - Port Ludlow is probably the next best in Puget Sound, but not much access to much of anything from there!

Hi there Adrift! What kind of boat do you have in this video? We were watching from the beginning but jumped forward and it looks like you are on a different boat. We are in Port Angeles and enjoy watching videos from our area.
@AdventureAdriftSailing4 жыл бұрын
The boat in this video is Makara, a Celestial 48.... We had quite a ride changing boats. We really enjoyed Port Angeles :)

Check out Ran, they have side and a back panel for their hard dodger,/dog house and get a little warmth for the on watch crew.

I remember sailing that route when I was 5. I was sleeping under the bow port hole which was open when the ferry wake came over the bow.. Sorry I did not get to see you in Gig Harbor.

So fun to see familiar sights. I think I saw Winslow harbor on Bainbridge at one point. We spent one winter there while I installed the boiler. When I needed something I just hopped on the ferry and went to SureMarine in Ballard. We are on RL right now just trying to figure what’s next. Norway trip has been postponed or canceled for this year. How about you two?
@AdventureAdriftSailing4 жыл бұрын
Yes, that would be great way to have access to Seattle without being in the city!! We are trying to figure out what's next as well... hard to know what's going to happen in the coming weeks and months, isn't it?
@vraymond1084 жыл бұрын
Adventure Adrift yes who knows how this will all play out. We are considering making a run for AK right up the coast to get out of SD but then we think what about next winter? Back and forth the conversation goes. Meanwhile the weeds grow in the hull. 🥴😂🙏🏻

A question are you going to install lazy jacks on the main sail ? Is Port Townsen your destination? Sorry that is two questions....
@AdventureAdriftSailing4 жыл бұрын
Lazy jacks would be a great help, they certainly make dropping the sail much easier! We'll arrive at our destination in our next episode ;)
