I think the show is arguably creepier when you know the scare is coming. You just watch, constantly knowing that any second it will all go to crap, and every little detail seems like it will spiral out of control…but it doesn’t…at least not for a while…this show is patient…and it knows how to play the long game with your mind…and the second it knows that your guard is down…that’s when it hits.

Nah there’s little hints here and there like the “teeth go gray” gag and also the awkward long silences like the black paint on the picture of a clown and the duck when he says they finished all the chicken. And even when it does hit the fan it’s not like it’s crazy for the sake of it it usually ties in with the theme of the episode showing what happens when it gets taken too far, like when you let ur creativity spiral out of control or how time always ticks on and there’s nothing we can do to stop us from aging, or how love can be manipulated and used against people like cults and etc.

I can't believe she didn't pick up the actual narrative across the six episodes where the red guy becomes aware that he's a part of a TV show (a la the Truman Show) and he was the one on the phone trying to tell the duck and the little yellow one. The console he was at in the last one was him trying to save the yellow guy but he ended up making things worse and in a very 1984 style fashion, went back to square one with amnesia along with the yellow guy and green duck (now red duck).

That isn't the narrative, I mean he actually refers to the original teacher for episode 4 before Collin takes it over, which shows he was aware of being part of a TV show for a long time. In fact, he's the person who originally ran the show.

For the second episode it was actually NOT time, but RUNNING OUT of it. For the sixth episode, it was actually DREAMS, but not in the way you'd expect it. The sixth episode had people changing and changing, BUT it didn't signify if it was real, as Yellow Guy actually failed to drown in oil two times. Once Red Guy pulls the plug, it takes us to a new simulation. BUT you know, the three guys at the table are actually their own favorite colors as stated in Episode 1. So it's either being in a new-founded dream, or the previous universe was ALL a dream and it was this universe that actually gets us started. One other topic that can be related is loops. In the sixth episode, the new simulation manifests. But THIS time, Sketchbook appears. My theory is that they will have to learn and do everything again, but this time more wisely.

The 22-min episodes of the TV Series are now on Channel 4, and on Pushing Orphans' channel on KZbin. It might be just a production issue, but I think there's a reason for the different standard Yellow Guy, in the first episode, since we immediately get to see the computer change the appearance of Yellow Guy and Duck/Robin, who describes himself as a "crow-type thing". There's an ominous thunderstorm, may be relevant with regards to the electricity episode of the TV series. In the Time episode, Manny seemingly fails at communicating his perceptions... Something about how time is important, prompts the rhyme- and beat-break of his blurt "I'm friends with my dad!", completely off of left field. Harry wakes up at his desk job, gets himself fired and, after being alone in the crowded bar for a while, and drinking himself enough courage, he gets naked and launches his idea on stage. Roy offers to fund him. Harry discovers the machine, and realises he cannot control it, Roy grabs his shoulder, but his sudden elastic reach, seems inadequate to reach the machine. When the plug gets pulled, it's a different, simplistic kitchen, detail missing. But all the characters are now their favourite colors from episode 1.

I love how the whole thing comes together as a metaphor for making a kids show. He had this idea for a kids show, the dad fronted him the money as a producer. But then he started influencing, forcing his kid in, abusing his kid on set (green is not a creative color), sneaking rewrites into the show(expected the globe to explain but it instead was a new character he didn't see coming), forcing a very special religious episode, and then the showrunner discovers with computers and the internet, he doesn't need the producer(literally blew his mind), he can low budget it himself online.
