a really good post. I totally agree, nurturing prejudices about someone some group for one aspect of behavior is wrong, while it is necessary to have moral and ethical values and communicate them.

It is only for Jesus to judge, it is for us to try to help people become a better person in a non-judgemental way but it is hard not to allow judgement to affect your impression of them. We are allowed to hate sin and bad actions but not to hate people.

The concept of judging others depends on the context of whether it is legal judgement or moral judgement. Legally, adults have the capacity to make judgements based on evidence of behavior that violated specific laws and then judges can recommend punishment that fits the crime. Moral judgement is more difficult as there are various degrees of violation that cannot be as readily discerned due to the difficulty of knowing internal thoughts and therefore should be avoided. The punishment for moral violations which violate God's wil is best handled thru the law of cause and effect which is ourside of humman purview.
