Liuhebafa has nice limb destruction as well. Surprised this approach hasn't shown in mixed yet.

It's never going to. 1. It's typically found in self defense arts let's be honest MMA has a huge anti traditional martial arts thing going on. Go look at the MMA rules and you will see most things that are used in actual combat is against the rules. 2. Broken fighters can't make money The MMA model is to crank out fighters quickly. So things that will damage them will take more time to master. Also once again grabbing a limb to dislocate it is possible but is also against the rules.

@tonytomahawk5160 I understand where you're coming from and i do see a reluctance to embrace orthodox techniques, but I would never say never. Time changes many things. Within the MMA rule sets, they are allowed to brutalize the whole of the leg. Inside/outside thigh kicks, front kicks to the knee, upper and lower calf kicks, foot stomps, not to mention leg locks that are notoriously dangerous for injuries. I think one of the things holding the art back is it's compartmentalized. Striking, wrestling, and bjj. They weren't built together, so they seem not attack the transitions that efficiently. I am of course talking our of my aas and couldn't personally validate this in practice.

The Hakka fist almost looks southeast Asian, like some of the Kuntao arts is it possible that the Hakka arts influenced the arts of the Philippines?

Honestly Filipino martial arts have those movements because of weapon fighting and weapon defense, translated into bare fist. And there is only so many ways the body can possibly move that one in a few styles or systems will share moves even if they are based on different philosophy.

can taking this approach cause you to chase the hands instead? on the other hand, this is one of the interpretations I learned for simultaneous attack and defense in WC...your "blocks" should damage the opponent. Even a pak sao can hurt if used properly. Great video!
