So glad to see that fish make it. When your a serious angler it sucks to see a fish get hurt or killed. Great video and good ending for that basses story.

Yeah I hate that we have to hook them to see them. 😂

Haven’t finished watching yet but one thing I learned is that if you hook the gullet and have them bleeding real bad, you can pour a carbonated drink in it and it’ll start the clotting process. I don’t know the science behind it but it seems to work. I’m sure it’s not healthy but better than bleeding out. Great idea for a video. Very important!

I have never heard that. If one is bleeding that bad. Can’t hurt to try.

I could have flipped him. 😜 That bass is a tough customer. I am with you, I never want to leave hooks in a fish if I can help it. I use thin forceps to unhook my fish and keep a very large and long pair in my bag, for this very thing. Great job, Doctor.

Thank you sir, gotta take care of our pets 😁 These thick wire hooks the easy way is to cut the eyelet off the hook and just pull it through. But I took them out of my bag for something and didn’t put them back. Lesson learned.

Great video and I agree I try not to leave hooks sadly I think some people are too lazy.
