I'm okay with colored jeans if they are a neutral. Grey, olive green, and black. Since my lifestyle is jeans everyday once the weather cools down, a little variety in that department helps.

Anything that makes me look slimmer can stay. But the rest of the stuff..... I was never into most of these fashion trends, so they're an easy call.

I love my colored jeans (red, peachy orange, rust and Kelly green). If I could find yellow or gold ones, I would snap them up too. They go with black/white strips and dots, and subtle florals, and crisp white shirts and tees. To me they ‘say’ fun, summer, preppy/traditional -. And always will!

Right there with you, I love my colored skinny jeans. I am wearing a pair of dusty blue pants. I like them because they don't look like regular jeans and they are not slacks per say and I can wear them to work. I look presentable. I have a burgundy purple, black, and olive as well.

Never had any of these! Im 58 and embracing quiet luxury for years. Wasting money on trends is exactly that and you can mix and match classic pieces very easily to create new and exciting outfits by adding accessories and making sure the fit is right. The money I saved by not buying these trends went instead towards retirement and travel

One trend I can’t wait for influencers to stop promoting is the “half tuck.” It looks like my boyfriend’s shirt tucked into his underwear when he’s half distracted coming out of the bathroom. And those awful front slit pants….reminds me of Ursula from the Little Mermaid….almost like tentacles.

I agree with almost everything. I have kept one pair of turquoise skinny jeans (my favorite color). Over time they were too small, now that I've lost weight they fit better than ever. Not giving those up! Black eyeliner works better on my coloring than anything else as a "deep winter". And, I am hanging onto my mink coat. Sorry, but my mom always wore one, and hubby bought this one for me in the 90's. lol

❤ All good points except for the color jeans I really think a gray, black, neutral will always work . I never jump on the trends and then I never have to worry about them looking dated in a year… never bought the cold shoulder, the highly distressed jeans, the combat boots, the slippers as shoes, huge Dad sneakers, because it looks ridiculous. I think the first time you see these things you think WHAT?! but then you see everyone wearing so you jump on board, then they end up in these “they’re out videos”. Just try to go with your gut people, I always try to pick up timeless, classic pieces that seem to never go out of style.

I have gotten rid of a lot of items in my closet lately. I used the rule that if I haven’t worn it in over a year, give to goodwill. I always felt camo was for going hunting. I have always liked straight leg jeans. But, skinny jeans are easy and comfortable if they have a lot of stretch. I loved your video content. Thanks for sharing ❤

Keeping my cardigans! They are so cozy , yet lightweight. I’m in Florida so we don’t get much cold weather and they are perfect. I don’t like a tight fitting structured cardigan and much prefer these sweater/ blanket/ shawl hybrids! Agree with most everything else- most all I never was into!

I agree with everything, but the fur coat. I have a vintage one from my mom. It is amazing. I grew up in ND and live in MN. I rarely wear it, but when I do, it’s so warm. I love it. I will never ever get rid of it. I know it sounds crazy, but I think you need to be a certain age to wear for a coat.

Hey Angela, I found one last dangle-down in my closet today and just couldn’t part with it because it’s so cute. So I figured another way to wear it besides cutting of the danglers: untie them and tuck ‘em in! You can tuck or crisscross them into your jeans or slacks and they look no different than a French tucked blouse! (You’re welcomed to use this idea on your channel if you like 😃. No credit necessary!)

I was looking washed out with the browns and blues…probably because I’m still a naturally dark brunette with brown eyes. Plus, I finally perfected the cat eye and I love it!😅

I never liked those cold shoulder shirts! Why do people still love leggings but don’t like skinny jeans? When are we going to get past the front tuck? Not a good look on everyone, I personally would rather see loose and flowing! When we get older our bodies change and a front tuck makes me look chubby! Just my opinion…

Faux fur coats in my opinion aren't necessarily a trend but a statement piece and can look really classic with the right outfit or dress. Totally on board with ditching the camo and cold shoulder tops, time to go!

I’m on the same page with you on many of these. I never liked waterfall cardigans tops with ties or colored jeans . Actually the only pieces I had were camo and open shoulder but I don’t have those anymore. Less has always been more in every way . Thanks for the fun video ❤️

I love timeless and classic pieces...I pay a lol more but they are versatile as well as beautiful. I’ve hated tie-dye since the 70s even… I’m always surprised when it comes back as a trend. Nothing beats a fur coat when it’s below zero in the winter. I don’t care if people think I look old, I’m not cold! 😁 the pink top you are wearing is a lovely color on you.

I inherited a (real, sheep) fur coat from my late mother. Can't let go of it. It is warmer than anything else I have in my wintercoat wardrobe. I am worried about wearing it because it's real fur. But the animals were already slaughtered, so it seems worse to throw it away or not wear it.

I agree with you Angela on the camo and tie dye styles of old. I recently tossed out some logo guess shirts and old navy brand shirts as well from my wardrobe. Just recently got rid of my colored jeans as well, and now I just have denim shorts and skinny jeans in my closet along with some white pairs. It’s nice to get rid of the old dated styles, and time to bring in the new fall trends…so we feel more confident at our age. Such a fun video…thank you Angela!!!😍🤩👍

Yes! When I got out my fall clothes I had a waterfall cardigan and I was so surprised because I thought I had already donated them all LOL The only one of these that I have left in my closet is a black Fur coat. It's a cropped version. I know it's out of style but I'm convinced they're gonna come back and then I'll be ready 😅

I've never liked tie-dye, waterfall cardigans, tie front tops, fur coats, sherpa shoes, or colored jeans anyway. Lol. Great video, Angela. I’m on board with you about keeping my skinny jeans. Love ‘em with boots & booties for sure. And agree about everything else except the waterfall cardigans. Gonna keep mine because some I can actually tie some of them in the front for a different look - minus the dreaded dangle! Another exception- my fur coat. It’s a 3/4 length, sheared black mink, feels heavenly, and pairs easily with jeans or a dressy dinner dress.. I also have my mom’s 1940’s Gloria Swanson-like mink swing coat with the big wide cuffs. To me there’s nothing at all wrong with keeping some vintage pieces to mix with contemporary pieces for a look that’s your own style. So I wear either coat with my skinny jeans, a crisp white shirt, my leather boots & the right jewelry to either dress up or down, a la Carla Rockmore.

I loved the cold shoulder but totally agree it looks weird now- I do still wear mine if I will be wearing a sweater or some other layering piece that I know I won’t be taking off- skinny jeans will never go and also my asymmetrical hemlines- I love them! Tie dye, camo, Sherpa shoes, big logos, and fur have never been in my closet. I will keep my black, white and gray jeans, but agree that the other colors are out. I actually really like shirts that tie, but only if the ties are short and on the sip, rather than the front…no long dangles for me. Sometimes it’s the best way to make blouses shorter if you don’t want to tuck them in! Great video.
