Love love love daylight savings. Lived in QLD for 9 years and don’t understand why they don’t have it, you have the weather to enjoy the evenings more. I don’t get why people get so uptight about it, it’s a one hour difference - how big a deal is it to adjust? You feel like you have so much more time in the evenings, more time to go for a walk with the dogs, mow lawns, water gardens etc. Love it!

Raise the rear stabiliser legs when the washing machine is on, that reduces the vibration dramatically 😊

Anti flap kits work a treat. Aussie travellers bought from outback equipment in acacia ridge. Shout yourself some. Much cheaper than replacing a torn awning.

Talking about Day Light Saving ………… we have not had Day Light Saving in WA for a very long time as each referendum the result was a resounding no . Thank goodness . And with some states having it and some not , when travelling it can be a trap . Have a Very Merry Christmas and we look forward to seeing travels in 2025 . We never leave our awning out at night or when away from the van and have gone to an electric awning for ease of use and appreciate the benefits of electric awnings .

we are in nsw and still can’t get the hang of the day light savings. i like to sleep in until 8.00am but the clock says 9am. day nearly gone. then we don’t eat until 8.30pm cause we are still out and about. Not a fan of it, but i think the east coast should be on the same time zone.

on the subject of daylight saving you should only have daylight saving in certain time zones. When you’re at the beginning of a time zone. Daylight saving is good when you’re at the end of time zone daylight saving is bad. It’s like having dinner in the middle of the day. I’m having to wait another four hours for it to get dark and that’s why W.A. does not have daylight saving This is just in case you were interested

Thanks! I think our opinion changes on it all the time, liked it before kids, having young kids didn’t like it as it’s harder to get them to sleep, now they are getting older we like it again as it’s more time for them to play in the evening
