Great vid. It was lovely to see you highlight the Gloucester area and some its history. My family are from up that way and we spent much of our youth her years travelling Thunderbolts Way to get to the show or rodeo. And yes pple need to pick up their rubbish and not vandalise stuff. People will write on anything and everything. We have a walk here in the Jervis Bay Area and people scratch their names into the trees! Not to mention the rubbish anyway good that the nxt generation (your kids) understand the negative impacts of this on everything. Thanks for sharing

What a rippa sanga again, you caused me to drool more than a Saint Benards dog on a hot Aussie summer day when you rolled out that sourdough and made a mega pastrami club sanga! When it comes to rivers and creeks, rivers are supposed to be bigger than creeks. But just east of Windoora in QLD the Thompson and Barcoo rivers meet to form Cooper Creek. The saying is that Australia is so dry that it takes two rivers to make a creek.

I’m jealous of your indigenous heritage. My family has a super interesting history in this amazing country travelling with early explorers, one arriving in the gold rushes, a brush with bush rangers, riding the golden shoed horse, farming on a selection, three ANZACs who all survived, and a WWII bomber command survivor of 35 missions over his grandfather’s homeland in Germany - the guy who reputedly built Queensland’s first windmill. A blitz refugee from London make up my bitza ancestry and an indigenous heritage would complete the story.

Every country/content has cicadas, far less and less active in NZ, hardly noticed them when I was there for 7 years. Aus, really do stand out and go for longer as Aus summer is twice as long as NZ. USA, crickey I was surprised at the volume of the hatch. When I was shown the growth rings on trees attributed to the cicadas in the USA when I was there, makes one realises that NZ isn't even the thickness of a Zig Zag rolly on the world stage.....

If you want to tow up to Barrington Tops it's better to go from the Scone side. It is very steep, but the climb up isn't as long as coming from Barrington. With the weight of your van you would probably want to go up in high range four wheel drive for the added traction.
