Freedom of speech is important, but I do believe strongly in the old saying “if you have nothing nice or productive to say it’s best not to say anything at all.” Or at least direct it to a proper forum where you are not at risk of insulting and hurting someone. To hear Dr. Dew come out and express his feelings on this is heart breaking and I hope people take his requests seriously. It’s hard not to let words hurt sometimes and he clearly does his best, but we as a community can all help each other with this a lot more than we see in these comment sections on a daily basis, & I hope this video makes a real impact on some of the haters. As someone who has known you since high school, it makes me so upset that people are making such rude comments towards you. I think part of what is wrong with the world is the fact that people nowadays not only hate on one another, but that people do not take the time to get to know each other and their life stories. If people were to stop bullying and take time to listen to one another, this world would be a much better place. On another note, Dr. Dew, you are awesome. When discussing online bullies or being hated on, there are a couple of Bible verses that come to mind.
