Don't Let Your Customers Trick You! HD

Talking your customers into letting you double check what they believe to be true can be tricky. Some times, customers can actually get in the way of you solving their radon issues.
It doesn't cost anything to double check non-living spaces such as attics and crawlspaces when searching for passive radon pipes. Many of them terminate in the attic or behind knee walls.

H i, It appears you placed the fan inside the building envelope where any small leak from the positive pressure side of the fan would add radon to the inside of the house? This is a problem I often see when the customer has run the piping and wants me to install the fan.

Hi Thomas. In this case the pipe was actually capped. so the passive system was dormant for all these years. I have certainly seen a few like what you described. Thanks for watching!

I have been installing radon systems for 22 years. Just trying to give some advise. The roof flashing say right on them "no caulk flashings" so I only caulk the nails. It needed to be slide under the next shingle below the one it's under, and all that black jack wouldn't be needed. Not trying to make you look bad or anything. Just giving advice one radon professional to another. I like all your videos!
