As it is an insecticide, read the label, look up the Safety Data Sheet, and follow the instructions. Wearing chemical resistant gloves under the microfiber ones is a must. Your grandchildren will be able to thank you

My mother taught me that soaps and basically anything except water shouldn't be used on the underside of the leaves (she was a florist/gardener for 30 years), because it suffacates them. Plants "breath" on the underside of the leaves and if you put things like soap on them it cloges the pores that they do it with. I don't want to sound mean I'm just curious if this solution is different in this aspect.

If you just do this with normal water it should be enough most of the time. Using dish soap in hort mixtures (e.g. homemade white oil insecticide) often will create the risk of turning soil alkaline and killing the plant.

If you’re only using directly on the leaves, then it should be fine.. but not the actual fruit or vegetables- because it’s an insecticide. So you don’t want to ingest it:) So just be very careful when spraying.. but if it were me, I’d try to find some sort of nontoxic way to go about cleaning your edible plants- just to be on the safe side:)
