To check for N or P type mosfet, put your probe across drain and source, if current flows or there is a reading in multi-meter check which probe is on the drain. If it's negative it is n-type, otherwise it's a p-type, unless it is defective.
@saklaptalangka1557Ай бұрын
ohm or diode mode? and does n channel mos is always 4 pins?
@haimtАй бұрын
Thank you very nice tip.
@ShR33kАй бұрын
@@saklaptalangka1557 I would say continuity, as diode wont give a negative reading as a diode can only flow one-way meaning diode mode would block any negative current reading. I would say red/positive on drain, and black/negative on source should do it with multimeter on continuity mode.
@tunkunrunkАй бұрын
@@saklaptalangka1557 good question , sometimes you will encounter 3 pins , 4 pins , 6 pins , 8 pins mosfets , do you check them the same way as 4 pins mosfets ? sometime you can't find their specs on the internet , in spite of what is marked on them

I find everything I see very interesting, but when you, Sorin, were still working in the shop there were also amplifiers or televisions or mobile phones or electronic devices that no longer worked. That was a change. There is only laptops left in the world to repair, it gets boring because there is so much electronics. Something else has to be repaired too. That would be nice, but dear Sorin, I love your videos, best wishes from Germany

@YourLifeWastingАй бұрын
I'm having the same issue with my ASUS laptop though I have owned it for several years without turning it off it will only work with the charger is plugged in and then still sometimes it'll shut off on its own. I'm thinking either the battery is dead or it's a mosfett.
@lis6502Ай бұрын
Actually you can't say "go ahead just look for the same type". I wold replace charger's circuit mosfet with literally anything doing the job but i won't even think about doing the same with vcore dc-dc's mosfet, there's only like 0.7v but 15,20A.
