I have studied Physical Therapy in Qatar University and now I am applying for Credential Verification to New York. However, I did not get licensed there (In Qatar) as it is not required if we will work in the same country. I saw that there is some document required to send to the licensure/registration authority in the country I have studied in, but I do not have an official license. Do you know what I can do to complete the process of credential verification? I have send an email to FCCPT and still waiting to hear from them.

I'm a physical therapist educated and licensed to practice in Mexico, but I do not have a master's or doctorades degree. I read on their service page that if you do not have a masters you can only apply to their Educational Credentials Review but not their Type 1 for immigration service, I have also read that in order to be a candidate for the NPTE you must be on a doctorade level. Education system here in Mexico is different because I coursed 6 years of physical therapy school as my first degree which could be seen as a Bachelor and Doctorade in the US (because of the amount of years, practice hours and syllabi) but in Mexico is only an undergraduate degree. My question is if there is a possibility FCCPT could consider me as a Doctorade or Masters level degree if they review my sillabus and transcripts and compare the amount of years? And if there is then I could take the NPTE or is that the first step before all the credentialing review process? Im quite confused about the steps here. :(

Hi dr.jing i dont have my diploma or degree yet but i already have applied for it as i am freshly graduate wht should i do about it i already paid fccpt they need documents i have all documents except my degree or diploma but i have transcript and secondly no license form and attestation form also will be sent by may school to fccpt

It is NOT true that international PT can only apply to NY. Yes you have to pay again to transfer it to another state.

Hi, I have a question, how about the attestation form? Because it was stated in the site that it should be submitted by the applicant, can I send my attestion form w/ notarization together with the other documents needed by FCCPT? Or Should I be the one to send it?

Yes you have to send it yourself together with other documents.

No. Documents that are from you should be mailed by you and documents from school should be sent by school. Please follow the instructions of FCCPT.

You have to download the form for school fill out the top part and the rest will be filled out by school. They should mail it with all the required documents as stated on the form.
