I LOVE cottage cheese. The only store around me that carries a healthier version (Good Culture) is Publix and they are constantly sold out (even at $5.99 a container). It doesn't go on a BOGO free sale very often but, if it does, I go crazy...lol. There is a market store about 30 mins from me that might carry a grass-fed version but I don't travel that way very often...I would have to take a cooler with me to keep it cold while traveling back home (I live in Florida). I may have to take a trip soon to see if they carry one.

Autumn thanks for all your great videos but one major point you forgot that is one of my highest criteria is compare sugar contents between cottage cheese brands advertised as the same fat content. Some brands even change the serving size amount to make their sugar content look better. Same with yogurt. It can vary wildly for the same fat content. One brand may be 4 grams per half a cup and another 10 grams per for essentially the same fat content advertised. I only buy plain Greek yogurt and it can vary huge amounts in sugar.

I just found this good culture cottage cheese a couple weeks ago and I love it. Maybe you can answer a question for me that nobody believes is true. I get constipated when I eat Greek Yogurt. People say I’m imagining that. That’s why I choose cottage cheese. Glad I found you!😊

Wow - I get constipated when I eat cottage cheese, but not when I eat Greek yogurt, so the opposite of what happens to you! I always bought the full fat, which I love so much more. Especially the Good brand! And then I read that if you add a zero to the grams of protein, and if that number remains lower than the calories per serving, it’s better for you from a weight loss perspective. So I made that switch, but really miss the full fat! Urg…. Nothing is straight forward!! Maybe I’ll be switching back!

Okay so I have a problem with high LDL (like 190 high). Every other indicator of my metabolic health is fine. I have decent HDL (50s) and low triglycerides but my doctor gets stuck on my LDL and wants to put me on a statin so I HAVE to get this down. I would love to see a video about how to balance things like eating full fat dairy when saturated fat makes my LDL skyrocket. And I understand that LDL isn’t the whole story but most doctors haven’t caught up to this yet so I’ve got to figure out how to walk that line. Thanks!

Love the idea of consuming whole fat products from grass fed and grass finished cows but those products are harder to find than one may think. Any company can give cows handfuls of grass and print they are grass fed. It's the finishing that matters. Overall, I think all cows eat grass. It's inexpensive and readily available to farmers. So, I'd worry a lot less about that than anything else.
