I’m so glad you put this out. I am an esthetician and get aggravated when dermatologists do not tell their clients using these to stop before getting waxing. Most clients have no clue and risk damaging their skin

Wished I heard about the first tip a while ago. It was NOT fun having to deal with those wax burns. 😂😭

I am a licensed esthetician and I'm glad you put this video out because dermatologist for my clients have never told them about stop taking certain medications before getting waxed. And also very true about the period Do not come right before your period.

YT cut off her right in the middle of her explaining why that’s so important! 😂 oops! That was an explanation she needed to finish! And btw, thank you for putting “Licensed” before Esthetician! I’m a retired Licensed one but I get so much hate when including that! Does it drive you crazy how many people think just “liking skincare or make up” gives people reason to say they’re “Estheticians” Without that Education and License? I like to say “Betty with a Blog does not a skincare expert make” an Education & a License does 😊 I include retired because well, I am lol And I’d never want to give the impression I’m currently in the field. I got mine in 1983. I’ve had it 40 years! You younger Pros have my respect that’s for sure! 😊 I also started my degree in Chemistry but had to drop after 2 years.

Can you talk about electrolysis? I know you’re not supposed to get waxed well on Accutane, but can you get electrolysis while on Accutane? And what is the reasoning for your answer?😊

What about threading?Should we stop actives before threading?
@lauryn60379 ай бұрын
i doubt it’s a big deal just for threading :) but i would think maybe don’t use actives for a day or so after threading, i know chemical exfoliants and retinoids can be harsh or sting just after shaving or plucking hair so i figure it might be similar

Off topic… any new facial cleanser product that removes mascara & eye liner, & sunscreen, without the cleansing OIL step? Thanks Dr Dray & anyone with a recommendation!
@anncazares1112 ай бұрын
Cleansing oil is the healthiest way to remove these products and to cleanse your face Why would you need to avoid them?

you can try bioderma’s makeup remover. even though oil cleansers are better, the makeup remover does half the job!

What were the ingredients in the was and were the x cloths treated with something? I use raw unbleached Muslim fabric/and wash it first. Buy at a fabric store. Then be sure to avoid harmful chemicals, all skin is sensitive, especially to toxic chemicals, even in small amounts. Ask a holistic practitioner, as even dermatologist are unaware of damage Rex’s and chemicals are on our bodies. They all go to the same school for training.
