so the explicit links are more of those direct statements used in topic sentences and in the intro, whereas implicit links would be in the 'How' area of analysis to link your quotes to the prompt. makes sense.

Yes, that's correct - essentially we want to stay as close to the topic as possible. Restating the contention or using key words is nice but gets repetitive very quickly, which is why we want to also expand on our contention to offer some more breadth and depth (hence this is why we use implicit links as well) Because after all, no one wants to see the word "loyalty" or any keyword repeated 1000 times in one essay :)

Thank you! Not too sure what you mean by how many VCE subjects I accelerated, but I ended up doing 6 subjects: English, Methods, Spesh, Chemistry, Chinese SLA, and UMEP (Uni maths program offered by The University of Melbourne). Let me know if that's what you were asking haha?
