Last year I made the mistake of making my ex my therapist. I made myself vulnerable and I knew what the consequences could be. Sure enough, a few months later we split up. I know what I did wrong, but I also learned that she wasn't the right one for me. Own your actions. Admit your mistakes. Work hard to improve. Focus on your mission and purpose.

The therapist part is fucking key. That killed my last relationship. And it was tough because she was a best friend first too. It doesn't mean you can't ever open up or be vulnerable. They are supposed to be a trusted partner. But when you dump everything on them constantly, you appear weak, like you can't work on yourself without them. And you just overload them. You'll wear them down and eat away at their happiness because you're transferring your stress/sadness/anger to them all the time. Even though they may genuinely care and want to help you, it will make them unhappy too. You'll eventually be a burden on them. Learn to support each other, but not try and fix each other. Share things, but don't dump and overload on each other, encourage each other to better help yourselves without depending on one another to do so. That should be the dynamic. At least that's what I've learned from my how my mistakes went down

@@Cheeriu I had to ruin the best relationship I ever had and push away someone who loved me unconditionally for almost a decade to realize it. It can be a hard lesson to learn sometimes. Try communicating it to him if you really value what you have. Because she never let me know I was wearing her down so much either. As much as I shouldn't have been, I never knew to stop until it was too late. At least to the extent it really hurt her etc. Maybe it can help. Maybe not. I fear losing her was really what had to happen to make me grow and change in the end.

@@Cheeriu it sounds like you need to move on. He needs to learn more about himself, and you can't make him do that. If he's willing to start a journey into personal development, spiritual healing, and especially therapy on his own Accord. You may get somewhere. If he's not. You may just be stuck in a cycle that will drain you That doesn't mean you don't love him or care about him. But you have to love and care about yourself enough to not let someone else drain you. Like I said, I can give this kind of advice only because I realized I was being that person who drained the energy from someone I loved. I can't even blame her for not talking to me anymore. But I know I never want to be that kind of man again. I hope you're able to find a solution that allows you to be happy. Whatever that may be.

Just don’t unpack and live there.” We as human beings are going to have moments where we have challenges, setbacks, and losses. But how we respond is what matters. Even if a person stops talking to you behind that it’s futile to be upset but it’s their choice. Let them go because once you level up in life, they will realize they messed up themselves. It’s your life. Your car. Your driver seat. The only one who knows how to drive it is you.

I didn't cry but I teared up talking about some stuff that I really hadn't told anybody else. She immediately changed her behavior towards me and in less than a month she ghosted me. Now I'm single and talking to a stranger who gets paid to listen to me talk about that crap. I had this problem with my last relationship too. My mistake was I treated her like my best friend, which included telling her all my problems and stresses in life. And even though I did read the book a couple of times during the relationship, I missed out on something that's really important pertaining to this issue, which is "if you have to talk about your problems do so positively". It does kind of suck that you can't emotionally completely unload on your girlfriend, but like you said it is what it is. It feels really good to emotionally let it all out but the downside is it's extremely unattractive to a girl. Just like I'm sure it feels really good to eat junk food all day and gain a bunch of weight, but for a lot of guys it would be unattractive if their girlfriend did that. Just is what it is.

I used to think I had problems in life and blamed people/boss/wife/children/government etc. for bringing me problems. By working on myself I have learned that the only problems I ever had and ever will have, is all in my head. Life happens and if you learn to surrender to that fact, your imagined problems go away and you will always feel great no matter what happens. Coach Corey Wayne is outstanding and has been of great help on my self help journey, but for my inner problems work Michael Singer has been the best teacher. My tip is to listen to many to get different perspectives. So now I'm always happy every day and constantly working on my self on all aspects. You can always get better! You shouldn't chase anything external in life, it's only temporary since everything changes - work on yourself everyday and you will start to attract great people, money and things into your life!

It's a cool distinction - crying about your problems without taking action is not being vulnerable. My partner thinks I am an action man. Me: I think I hardly ever take action. When she relates what she sees i realise I do take action all the time, and I encourage her also. And action guarantees nothing. And no one cares. My partner loves it when I discuss my problems because she has a sharp mind and loves to contribute because she finds our relationship unbalanced, because it is. I'm a man and she is a woman. She's good at stuff that I love her being good at. I'm good at different stuff. And she has a really sharp mind and is better at reading some people than me. I listen to her advice about some things. I feel like theres something some guys in the comments seem to missunderstand: Its not about never opening up to your woman. Don't project one bad experience onto all women. This is a sign that you are not taking responsibility. How would you feel if a woman said "i had an abusive ex. And all men are the same, so I'm never trusting a man again"? Would you enjoy being seen as an abusive ass? You're doing the same here. A relationship is a partnership. And a good partnership doesn't work when you only give 50%. If you cut out all your negatives emotions from your partner, you are only giving them 50%. The problems you as guys face can and should be addressed. And then (and this is the most important part) take responsibility. Responsibility is about actively working on fixing the problem. It's about getting advice and using that advice to lean, change and grow. Masculinity doesn't mean that you are never emotional - it means that you embrace every aspect of yourself and actively change the things you dislike.

I know a guy and the mother of his child treats him with no respect based on what I saw on his fb page. He must have given her his account info because she's posting stuff on his account calling him out about stuff that should be private, in public. Idk how he does it. Bottom line is I don't want to end up relying on a woman who should be the girl of my dreams instead of being essentially my mother. I already have a mother. I don't need another one. Unless you opt out, you're here for as long as you're here for. You're a part of this world. So what are you going to do with your time here? It doesn't have to be a massive struggle though. Its about finding what end result entices the core of you and taking steps towards that every day. Life is a struggle and lacks meaning more than not for people who don't have a direction, have stagnated, or are going somewhere they don't feel fulfilled. If you're taking the "hard" day to day steps towards what you ultimately want, you build confidence, you feel satisfied, you have more energy to do the hard things, and you begin to uplift others naturally. When you stop selling yourself short with half measures or by just living out your days passing the time, it no longer feels pointless. If you don't feel inspired, that's a sign to evaluate and change your direction. Women and those great relationships are merely a side effect of the life and lifestyle you build for yourself. The better you treat you, the better the quality your relationships will be. Its all about your mission first and foremost. Don't make getting a hot woman your mission in life. That's when this all feels exhausting. #1 should be you, and something bigger than a relationship, and those relationship opportunities will naturally come as a result.

I do agree with your comments on socialism & communism. However, you said that socialism leads into communism. That's incorrect, communism, just like national socialism and fascism, is a version of socialism. Socialism means state control/ownership over the economy. In communism, national socialism and fascism the state has full control over the economy and means of production. And yes, that always leads to totalitarianism.
