I used to watch Omar because he is in my areamand he went places I knew. He used to be a Hair Stylist and he flips properties. My husband got tired of him flashing his money. I started catching discrepancies. He also kept hooking up with Mo and CJ and he had James hanging on his coat tails. I didn't watch his "I helped a homeless guy". Hi Beardo Perfectly said as always. These types of ‘poor me’ videos are manipulative, and I can’t stand the people who use this tactic to get attention. It’s like that person on Facebook that posts ‘I’m being rushed to hospital, I think I’m dying’ then they get a ton of “omg are you ok” comments, then radio silence because they had gas demons, but friends keep posting comments asking for updates (true story!!). It will be interesting to see how Omar’s views change after this narcissistic little pity party ❤

I have a tiny little KZbin channel (this one, same name) where I predominantly post videos of trains (there are gig vids, too). I’ve loved trains and railways since I was a young boy, and I’ve been lucky enough to make a career out of it as well. So far I have 122 subscribers and my view count is nudging 40,000 views. Never in my wildest dreams did I think that I would get that many subs and views; I’m over the moon by it. Honestly I feel blessed by the way it’s going. The fact that people watch my very basic videos still amazes me, I’m so very grateful. I say all this because Beardo is absolutely correct, 100% he is. Show gratitude Omar, work harder, don’t whinge. I intend to tackle some editing this summer which scares the crap out of me, but I’m going to try. I want to improve and give my viewers something better to watch. But if my channel doesn’t grow any further, so what, I’m just tickled pink that folk watch my stuff. Well said Beardo! Get a grip you moaning tarts!

About 10 years ago Omar used to do dumpster diving video. Omar, is a barber. He worked for years doing that. I watched as he grew his paranormal channel. He was helped up by Moe Sargie. Then, Omar blew up. No one knew it was all lies. But what kept people loved was him. He was upbeat, even when he lost his first wife. As he earned more money, he got more things. I think even after he had to scale back, he was still upbeat. Now, folks are getting wise. The Shape pulled me into the light with technology. I realized what I'm seeing did not match up with what I knew. One thing, besides the debunkers, that is contributing to their downfall...their core audience is growing up. Kids you can fool. Eventually people move on. Newer channels come along. Its life, the KZbin life. Like you said he's still doing good after all these years ... I couldn't keep up with a KZbin channel. I have people ask me at gigs I do if I have a channel - nope, no interest, no time. Then they'll say 'Oh but you could earn money' ... No. No interest in anything to do with KZbin or money (I don't get paid for my gigs by my decision). Too many channels, doesn't matter what subject matter, are money orientated also. I want no part of that. I'll promote the ones I like though, the ones that I like.

I'm still subbed to a bunch of people like Omar who used to be entertaining when it followed the format of guy goes somewhere scary and gets scared because those videos have some very interesting psychology and once in a while managed to capture something interesting that couldn't be easily explained. Then they notice the attention that one part of a long video got a lot of attention and start craving that eventually resorting to complete fakery. Like you I still enjoy the smaller channels. I'd rather watch a few people getting themselves into a state where they are susceptible to whatever happens and experiencing pareidolia on an audio recording because of their heightened state because once in a while something genuinely difficult to explain will happen among all the completely understandable events and emotions they show. With some channels it's been possible to pinpoint the moment things changed. The video or run of videos where they became professional charlatans. That was interesting to watch once or twice (If people want to see it then some of the Randonatuica channels from a few years ago are great places to see it happen) but I don't need to see it again. I'd rather watch the handful of friends going out in twos or threes into the woods and trying their very best to gather interest in a channel where nothing really happens in most videos because they aren't cheating.
