Agreed 1000%. Here's what I do. Make a list of 2023 games you plan to beat as its own collection on Steam. Then, wishlist these you think you might enjoy. Check back when it goes on sale, rinse and repeat. I just wish the steam wishlist on the mobile app included the product image without having to click on it - it would help with product retention without having to click on links. It's impossible to remember all these without at least the product images.

So many good drops these days, I'm loving it. I'm so sick of the FOMO and microtransactions of "mainstream" AAA gaming. How can people not be sick of that shit? Do they not remember the good ol' days of Halo and COD and BF where you buy the game, log in, and grind your cosmetics? Cosmetics used to actually mean something. You see someone with the skull mask, you knew you were about to get clapped. Now it's just like "oh, this guy has disposable income, cool". Indie gaming really has brought back the meaning of gaming and art for me. I 100% will buy these games. No pirating. Only pirate microtransaction trash.

the masses complains about the sad state of videogames. If only they could buy indie games sometimes and stop buying overpriced rehashed and bland AAA games. The amount of creativity and passion in indie videogames is thriving and the huge competition force developpers to be innovative and original. What a time to be alive for indie games lovers!

I have already done that. After the insane amount of layoffs, treating players and devs like shit I removed all the AAA games from my wishlist and now its 100% indie in my wishlist. And I wont go back.

@@ClemmyGames When I first spread the word about this game, I was unaware that the devs were headquartered in Belarus. I don't know if the economic sanctions or some other aspect of the war has anything to do with this but they should let the backers know if they can.

So many games on here that hearken back to the golden age of gaming (8- & 16-bit)...My particular favorite is neo 8-bit (8-bit palette & music/SFX, but with modern touches like many parallax layers, smooth animations and screen-filling sprites).

I recently played Redo! and it's a great little Metroidvania, apparently influenced by one of my favorite mangas: Blame! The lack of an in-game map made it a bit confusing though, but I have Sessions on my wishlist already.

From the Steam demos I played, this list is missing Tiny Thor and Super Catboy, :p Emberbane looks really cool, but that precision platforming sequence is giving me anxiety, :o The devs behind "Replaced" were based in Belarus, and found themselves having to relocate, b/c they didn't support their government's involvement in the invasion of Ukraine, so that's what set the release date for that title back. Hopefully they'll be back on track soon, :)

Fingers-x for Meifumado: At least it's got a killer sales-pitch ! Bread& Fred looks v fun but if you're playing with your elder brother and make a wrong move, a dead-arm seems likely... ! Gunbrella instantly looks fun and the gameplay rewarding. Not surprised some of these don't want the metroidvania tag as this is one seriously STACKED field of contenders: SO much quality it's impossible to comment on all of them: Crank that competition-o-meter up to 100% !

Yes I don't feel always o confident about some things, so it's nice to see my taste is not so bad as an example. Saviorless, while i couldn't name the exact reasons, was a good looking game and I think a demo that didn't had me bored or fearing to replay those parts. I feel like If I get bored because I might have to replay parts, a game can't be that good. Advent Neon, not my style but I try the demo. I got so much trash that I'm a bit to carefull and haven't gotten much new lately, beside the update I still get on games. I try out Gunbrella too.
