Riding a motorcycle and going on rides to explore places can be fun. Along with fuel, machines might need some minor care first aid in case of need. A basic tool kit is must have when you venture on those long distance rides. Carburetor fine tuning, clutch adjustment, loose panels, parts failure, electrical issues etc can occur on a motorcycle ride.

Great video along with all these we should also carry few Zipties, extra engine oil and extra coolent for top up in a small bottle ,puncture repair kit, portable 12v air pump, head torch, spare clutch cable ,accelerator cable, extra fuses. Extra wires will be an overkill but i do carry that also when ever i go for a long drive. You never know when these things will come in handy.

The basic tool kits provided with any bike should suffice since only a very few minor repairs or adjustments can be carried on the road. All maintenance work should be listed and be diligently carried out at least 15 days prior to any long distance ride and the bike be ridden on a daily basis during this time, to check for any leaks, squeaks, loose fasteners, chain tension, and ergonomic adjustments. No use carrying an entire workshop along on a ride, cos any major repairs while on a ride would require the intervention of a fully equipped workshop. One should set out on a ride with a motorcycle that is absolutely reliable and a mind set that is absolutely free of any doubts.

Hi Rahul, You can clean it with help of volatile cleaning liquids. Petrol or carburetor cleaner can be an option but avoid degreaser like diesel which leaves residue behind. Make sure you completely make the strainer free of any cleaning solution before you install it back on the scooter.
