He runs through the door, falls down and waits for dude to show up at the door. The time wasted on the floor could have been used at the elevator. I guess fear immobilizes some of us. Because if it was me, by the time creepy spooky sketchy dude showed up at the door where he fell, I would have been downstairs, out the building at the 7-11 down the street buying lotto tickets.

from what I've heard, they don't work here in America. They ARE like placebos, to give impatient people something to do when they're being rushed. I'm very confused. The other entity moved regardless if the protagonist moved or not. Why is this called Don't Move then? Parts where he was clearly standing still...the entity still moved. Lastly what is the threat, the guy in white? So he is stuck in the elevator with it...and? Not like it was shown to have sharp teeth, claws or anything threatening. It looked like a normal dude so what is stopping the protagonist from just pushing it out the way? It showed zero signs of a real threat. Sorry I was just not convinced 😕

While I can understand that there was no apparent threat, to me it was still pretty damn scary. I honestly find big, grotesque monsters or dangers that the naked eye can see least scary. A person just copying your every move? Someone just coming towards you? Thats what makes me queasy and nervous, so I personally felt very frightened. It doesnt even have to do with me being "a scaredy cat" or something, its actually something genetical. Things like fear are carried over for generations, depending on what our ancestors used to fear. And to me, the scariest thing are just humanoid beings, especially if they are lacking distinctive features (like his blurred face for example). There's something terrifying about the unknown and I think this is what it is all about. It's pretty much just opinions and preferences, I feel. What works for me, doesnt have to work for you! :)

This was good. You certainly get a good sense of menace in your movies. I would have liked a bit more of a story but I can appreciate there’s a limit to what can be achieved in just a few minutes. I like how this one took place in daylight; I think it’s actually more scary than all this “creeping around with the lights off” which seems to be the limit of some film makers’ imagination.

Really good! That ending is just perfect. Also nice work on the cinematography!
@kriskeilman81246 жыл бұрын
Keep It Scary: Well, K.I.S. (or better yet, "Keep,") you sounded very enthusiastic about the cinematography, and though I am neither student nor professional, I was fairly satisfied with what I had to look at. But I have to confess, I could discern neither a story, nor an ending which suited it perfectly. I think you must simply agree that it is a short film made by the American Assn. of Custodial Managers (none of whom are, by definition, professional filmmakers, but should certainly be given much credit for their serious efforts.) It is clear that the postmodern "non-narrativity" or absence of a coherent linear plot merely disguises a creepy warning to any building custodian who is made to view it as a condition of employment: if you nap in the restrooms, take long walks, spin around in office chairs, etc., rather than working diligently to keep our (admittedly quite ugly) office buildings immaculate, you will die a truly yucky death which can in no way be traced to us. (Ha-ha! Who needs expensive and elitist film theory classes?!) kris k.

I'd title this type of shorts as 'frozen', rather than 'horror', the sort of people who just freeze when scared. I'm a fight not flight type of person, so I find it hard to relate. A slow old patient who pissed himself seems more sad to me, my sympathy would only change if he tried to touch or harm me.

I really liked this!! Overall, the story was pretty good for the most part, although it reminded me a lot of another short horror film called “Don’t Look Away”... however, I didn’t understand why the entity/guy kept moving even when the janitor wasn’t..? Also, it would’ve been a little more scarier if you made the entity thing or whatever more ghostly or grotesque looking, instead of looking like a normal human being but hey that’s just my opinion lol. With that being said, I absolutely LOVED the cinematography!! It was excellent!! Great shots, perfect lighting!! It was the best thing about this. I’m definitely subscribed to you now and can’t wait to see what else you bring!
