I was watching a reptile channel and they mentioned that doubling up on feeding snakes will grow them faster but shorten their life…is there anything similar with goldfish does anyone know?

It's more about optimizing nutritional intake during their growing years. Increasing longevity is usually based on eating less as one ages, either humans or animals. A growing animal or human should not decrease their food or nutrient intake, but optimize it. Feeding a growing young snakes more often, and then reducing that once they reach maturity will not shorten their lives. Overfeeding them or feeding too frequently their whole life will.

Increasing their water temperature speeds up their metabolism which shortens their lifespan.

Powerfeeding is bad for snakes it will ruin their metabolism and yes can shorten their life. Goldfish as babies I think can eat a lot but as adults they need less food. But over feeding goldfish is bad if it’s too much.

When I was on holiday I asked my grandma to feed my children(gouramis,tetras,catfishes etc.) I preportioned the food for them,and my grandma called me,that they're starving and she thinks they need more food. When I got home my fishes were the fattast that I've ever seen them xD

People often don't realize the work we put in behind every goldfish. I used to breed goldfish without a heater and filter. It took me more than 5 months to achieve ur 3 month growth. And then there are diseases that eat away half of the babies.

I barely change my goldfish tank and it's always dark and brown any tips giving it's best to do 95% water change every day as I have 11 goldfish in 130 litre tank and they produce so much waste

Get a big big big filter and HS aqua clear. Makes the little floating particles bind together so then they can sink and stay in the filter. 11 is a bit much for 130 litres. And goldfish make a big mess.

Not quite. If kept well they can live at least a decade or more. The growing stages is only the first few years. If you overfeed them indefinitely then yes, but if only doing it for a short time of their lifespan, it doesn't necessarily cause shorter life span. Especially not if it is during the growing stage. Increasing longevity for most animals or even humans is eating less in the later years of your life, not the beginning when one is trying to optimize growth and nutrient intake.

I find that a little bit at a time multiple times a day is better, i feed my goldfish like 5 or 6 palletes (stick feed) at a time. But like 4 times a day. But dont do to much at a time.

I think it's more like, goldfish have the need, and he's just meeting it. but I agree, other kinds of animals don't eat as much or as often. I mean, human babies can eat every hour for the first few weeks of life. but it wouldn't be considered over feeding.
