⁠@@WoodsTreeFarmyes, I have a Easton made axis and a power split as well. They all work well and have their place. If I was to get another split force I’d get the wide one.. the 9 is very tippy. Can only use it around the yard

For the amount of firewood our family goes through, we just don’t need a wood splitter. BUT if we did, I’d love to go with a vertical splitter. My OCD values consistency in size too much. Additionally, the single wedge makes considerably less mess

I've been looking into these, and really like them! I wonder why they don't have "peelers"? If a piece of wood gets stuck on the wedge there is nothing to knock it off on the return stroke.

Great machine for larger rounds. The tip type splitters are to low to split and hard on the back. This one saves them back that's for sure.
