How do ya keep from getting your lines all tangled up
@hagengrubbsfishing4 жыл бұрын
It happens sometimes but I normally cast everything far enough apart and have no issues. If you hook a big fish that you can’t stop he can make a mess with all your lines. But the more bait in the water the more scent so it’s worth it IMO. Thanks for watching👍

Are the suckers just incidental catches in your net or do you actively target them?
@johnnyheckard71854 жыл бұрын
Do you get those in cast net? I haven’t caught any here in Arkansas although I’m told there in our river.
@hagengrubbsfishing4 жыл бұрын
Johnny Heckard yea I caught these in a cast net but I’ve been told they can be easily caught on rod and reel.. thanks for watching.
@rickjenkins96704 жыл бұрын
Are they in the same areas as the shad
@hagengrubbsfishing4 жыл бұрын
Johnny Heckard these were caught next to a rock ledge in a small river that runs into a lake.seen a big school on depth finder.

I guess my real question after this rain tonight do you think the big fish will work their way down to Ohio river and get out of the current and will the channel catfish be active I would assume be hard to fish for them with bug weights and little bites
@hagengrubbsfishing4 жыл бұрын
More than likely the big fish will post up for a few days or hit slack water areas and not be extremely active. With the abundance of channel cats just find slack water or backwater areas were u can still use smaller weights and you will catch them. The ky River is loaded with channel cats.
@hagengrubbsfishing4 жыл бұрын

I don’t kill fish over 5lbs. I like eating the small ones better and Big ones are also To much fun to catch for me to kill Lol. With the sport of trophy catfishing growing like it is we all have to keep selective harvest in mind or there won’t be any big ones left. I love eating them but I can’t keep them all or it would go to waist. Thanks for watching and good fishing.
