Same bro, I am often used for like long passes because i can do it, i sometimes pass to the wing but it is a interception, and when i dont react too soon then it will be a failure, u dont know how much i explained this to my teammates they still just pass to me.

This is so simple football tactics, but its weird that they dont understand it still, when long cross will be seen for like ten seconds in the air before it lands on the ground, so it gives way more time for the players to close to challenge for the cross, so thats why its not good idea typically, when only quick counter attack scenario it can become good, if you have vety fast striker or winger, that can make the run to the ball that is comming fast from cross, when your team just won the ball from the opponents and started quick counter-attack. In goal kick. The players are already put in their position and the opponent players can come easily intercept and win the ball, if the goalkeeper decides to go for long goal kick, because they see the ball comming for while, so thats why passing is better idea and thats why I rarely make stupid cross to lose the ball from goalkeeper kick in fifa.

That is provided the holding midfielder is capable of creating space to make the pass to the fullback. Otherwise if the opposition were to pressure and steal the ball from the holding midfielder, they'll have a numerical advantage in a dangerous position.

Since the ball is passed by the CB to the holding midfielder which draws in the opponents to the HM so as to press him .... he (HM) can pass it back quick to the CB who can then make a fast switch to the forwards as well (good counter).

this is the right approach to build up but you need to have the right players in the holding midfield spaces because that is a very congested area. if you dont have a proper holding midfielder it could be disasterous because you are loosing the ball in an area of higher xG for the opposition.

It doesn't make much sense, in both cases the player who received the ball from the goalkeepers will be surrounded by opponents. I would argue that full-backs as a rule have more space than midfielders in almost every situation.

Playing it to CB can give option to change which side of field you want to go down via the ball can easily be passed back to the defenders. The enemy striker and potentially 1-2 midfielders will press your defensive line, opening up the midfield more for passes and movement. At that point, your team then can easily move the ball forward. If we kick it to the fullback, like the video said, they end up isolated and more likely to turn the ball over.

It could with a high-level DM like Toure that can shield the ball and do a stick and move. Done it with Tchouameni 91, mostly works, but leaves a bit to be desired on the turning with an opponent that knows how to cut angles.

You just can’t generalize football that way. Football is dynamic and changing. Not every team will press you the same way, not every team will have the same build up. You think football as mathematics and it doesn’t work like that. You need your players to read and interpret the game. I’m sure this pass have worked in many situations leading to advantageous situations.
