In my native country Suriname South America...we call this very bitter vegetable...SOPROPO!! You can cut it and steam it, with meat or with fish...but you can fill it with chopped pork meat and than baked in the oven for like 20 minutes!! Very healthy and tasty vegetable...but the plain taste is bitter....🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

I love this Sopropo, make it with Antruwa sometimes and make a Sweet Sauce with it. you can make it with chicken or tahu and pineapple , tomatoes.... i love bitter veggies.

I don't think she understands that about 2/3 of the world's population speak English, and I do not feel they should be allowed to post a video that does not have the English words in print on the screen. I can follow what the woman is doing, but I need to know what the spices/seasonings, and all of the ingredients are instead of having to guess! 🤨

In South India, we consider bitter melon bitter taste is due to medicinal properties. No need to change its taste, bitter is good for you.

Many Indian homes marinate it with salt and turmeric for a while and remove the water to reduce the bitterness. My grandma used to. But yeah my mom started skipping that step because of medicinal properties.

I cooked bitter melon tonight but a much simpler recipe. Steamed the bm and browned pignoli (pine) nuts in a pan and salted them and ate them with rice. My favorite way. I like the bitter flavor. Healthy.
