Are there any challenges paying for coffee, food, etc...? Other vlogs have mentioned that many places like smaller bills, but ATM's usually give large bills. So, I guess my question has a couple parts. 1. Do you use cash most places? 2. If so, are plenty of ATM's around or do you have to make a special trip on occasion? 3. If not using cash, are there ever any issues with card acceptance?

Luke, like your polish ! When you are about chatting and you want to ask someone if all is good, then add "czy" sounds like "chee", before "wszystko dobrze" and you have a question. Or, just ask, jak sie masz ? sounds like " yak shee mash". (how are you) Though, the older generation in Poland is not used to being referred to as "you" instead of Mr or Mrs. So, with the over 60s and especially women it is always better to use the first.

Eastern Europe is not a geographic, but more a historic term, Eastern Block under influences of Soviets for over 50y. I'm a Pole, who 15 years ago moved to Taiwan, works for a US company, travels to 5 continents every year. This term exists in economy too. Western Europe is still more mature market. Poland, especially because of recent political situation became Real Eastern Europe again, despite of being in the center of the continent. I like Czech more. Safe travels.

Luke. :) If we're talking about "don't say in Poland" - your "Wszystko dobrze?" is of course nice and kind BUT it sounds a bit strange. We use that question rather when somebody stumbled and fell or fainted and woke up etc. If you want be nice, just say "Dzień dobry" and if you really have to, you can also ask "Jak leci?" (how are you? / how are you going?). But beware, you can hear the moans. BTW: zapiekanki and pierogi are plural. So "one zapiekankA, please".
@iashi42895 жыл бұрын
Bez przesady. Poza tym nikt nie mowi "Jak leci" xD
@gbplus7475 жыл бұрын
"Wszystko dobrze?" as a question is neutral and good, it can be asked to younger and older people and is not strange at all. To ask "Jak leci?" is informal and should not rather be asked to older people, as it might be awkward. So Luke does it absolutely right :)
