95% of “black” people smoke weed because of stress. Life is definitely stressful. Gotta find something else to cope with it. I use music to cope and watch my favorite shows.
@perfectbeat5 жыл бұрын
Exercise is a good way to deal with stress. Also meditation. Imho, if one must smoke weed, do it in moderation. If it's something that you need to cope, find a healthier alternative.

Nah. Black people in general are just rebellious. Always have been. Doing drugs isn't going to magically cure stress or any other issue. Black folks love making excuses for our bad behavior. Serving the Most High is the ultimate stress relief.

Growing up in the 80's, EVERY KID including myself, had the poster of Doc Gooden pitching from the mound, side profile, with smoke coming out the back of the baseball. Wasn't until the 90s that we found out what kind of smoke that was. But none the less, you're correct in that his legend dominated the mid 80s.

Great video. Personally I struggle with weed. It’s a pain in the ass, but kind of grateful I never got into anything crazier. Funny thing is.. your 100% right about it. I started at 17 because of friends. I wanted to be apart of a click, or gang. Great video

Shea Stadium use to physically rock wit' that squad. I recall when DOC would pitch it was a must see event. A truly gifted athlete. JR Richard was also NASTY. Powerful message in this clip, salute!

These videos are so important. Self-destruction is another one of those terms that seems clear and is simple, but is deceptively important. Self-destruction means that, you are destructing yourself. It can take you years to rebuild, if ever. It's just not worth it, certainly not over some damn drugs. Society is not going to save you once you've self-destructed.

Pedro Guerrero from the Dodgers is still trying to find his socks after Gooden threw him the nastiest curveball I have ever seen back in 86. Doc was straight filthy!

In the immortal words of the late Rick James, "Cocaine is a hell of a drug!". He had GREATNESS written all over him, and squandered it all over China White. This is a dude who missed his own championship parade by being high. He was well on his way to being the next Bob Gibson. When you look at his delivery, it was ridiculously smooth, one fluid motion. That motion also was so smooth, it's likely he may have avoided injury, because he wasn't a "max delivery" guy like these dudes today. He could've not only been way greater as a pitcher, but also kept his revenue stream alive today by being a pitching coach. He obviously STILL has a soul problem. Sad, but there's still hope.

There are no real comparisons to Doc Gooden nowadays because there aren't many American black pitchers that start anymore that were as dominant. I can't think of any starting pitchers that compare to that phenomenon in New York. Other than maybe Ubaldo Jimenez and his great year in Colorado, I can't think of another starting pitcher that did that well, that fast.

It's funny, Strawberry, Gooden,and Lenny Dykstra all have had major run-ins with the law and issues with drugs from that mid- 1980s Mets team. I have never seen a championship team have the issues at the top like that. It's always been strange to me.

I like coke sometimes. Not gunna lie. Shit makes u feel some kinda way. But it’s a drug. You can’t fall in love with that shit and think u can do that shit 10-14 hours of the day. Maybe once every 6 months the max. Our bodies aren’t made for that. Drugs are drugs. Nothing more, nothing less. But we as humans have those addictive demons in us. You need to know yourself. If you know you can’t control ur self with soda, then u probably can’t control ur self with drugs. If you have a addictive personality, you need to be very careful of what you consume in your life. Whether be food, drugs, alcohol, porn, sex, crimes, shopping, gambling etc.
