Nobody is born and straightaway walked off life to SEEK enlightenment. There are many incidents that can “spark” the for enlightenment seeking. Even Buddha was sparked by sufferings and death of the people of his kingdom. So he tried to LEARN how to eliminate the suffering. Learning comes various sources, Vedas teaches mostly on how to conduct life in a disciplined way. Sadhguru has interest in Yoga so obviously he will look up to his guru, Adiyogi. Are you able to get PhD on your own without learning anything from something or someone? The “PATH” to enlightenment contains the most difficult lessons for most normal human beings. The PATH itself is a LESSON and you many encounter one or many lessons like through prayers, yoga, meditation, self-discipline, devotion of pure love, contributing for the humanity, society etc.
