I was planning on having our first Let's Play out today but I actually scrapped the first script for this one here and had to rewrite it while editing/filming so too much time lost. -repeat every other day It's pretty annoying. If you base in there, there's not much to do and the moment it's over and you step outside there will be crocodogs too.

Unfortunately Ice flingomatics are broken and don't work properly. Way too often they won't cool down your plants and leaving entire patches of withered plants with out doing anything! They sometimes throw and sometimes don't throw snowballs, like it some kind of RNG to trigger or not to trigger, It seem absolutely random. This issues hasn't been fixed for years. Thus they are unreliable to keep your plants from withering. And yes I didn't had ANY mods.

Life hack: set fire to your stuff when it dries so the flingomatic works (unless they miss the shots, it happened before somehow). Also make sure to have multiple flingos if attempting that, fires burn super fast in single player don't starve. Or even better, disregard this advice altogether for being risky (I'm serious though, it worked for me)

Hey Beard, Ive recently found the Volcano for the 1st time ever! I explored the whole thing, got a heart, made an obsidian spear, and no coffee plants, none... is this something that grows over time? shows up later? This is the very 1st 20 days of the game. So Not sure if its a late bloomer, or if my world is jacked. Figured youve played way more than me and might know. Thanks. truly love your Vids they help me a bunch!

Thanks to your advice and tips, I have survived the first dry season in my entire DS experience. Shipwrecked needs more boss mobs tho, they kind of lacking and I've rarely seen them. Besides the occasional Tiger Shark make cameo's like he always relevant.

Temperature mechanics are not a 1-1 thing between solo and DST so thermals essentially cool off much faster than you may be used to so don't go relying on them like you can in DST.

The volcano makes it much harder than summer, or at the very least more annoying to go back every other day to prevent eruptions. The good part is there are no wildfires, but it's kinda sad because you get gears left and right in shipwrecked, without much to use them on aside from flingomatics (or yourself if you play WX)

You have to keep sailing for much longer than it would make sense to use the amount of spare gears this game gives. After the beginning up to 3 floaty boaty knights spawn, and each one can give up to 3 gears. On the third year I have more than three full stacks of gears, it's crazy, sometimes I stopped picking them up because they were taking too much storage space in my base.

late but there is no such thing as a green one. there is a blue one but the blue one does not poison. The yellow poisons. The regular looking ones are orange, so that may be the confusion

eh, I'm enjoying hamlet. They're both really interesting twists on the main game. But he's planning on playing hamlet and making guides too, a lot of people request it. Hopefully he starts with the season guides so we can get the more important stuff out of the way before lighter guides, but I don't mind if he lets people suffer at day 60 for a bit like everyone else.

@Leira Whitehart That's very little content and it barely differs from the original game, the only real difference is the kinder surprise in each jungle tree. Three types counting mangrove trees, despite them being kinda irrelevant afaik aside from giving twigs that can be kinda elusive in the beginning.

My OCD just wanted to scream at you for letting your base get destroyed, as a DST, DS, and DSSW player, I absolutely HATE when things are out of line, or my base is un-orginized beyond the start of everything, or what I heard called being "nomad" collecting and all that. I am NO WHERE NEAR a great DST, D's, or DSSW player, sure, I consider myself pretty good, or ok, but not great, I know the basics and how to survive, but I can never seem to do it.

You can find them in the deep to medium deep parts of the sea, and can be traded to the yarcapus which is the pig king of shipwrecked, you gotta wait a few days to do another trade tho😭 you can find them in sunken chests too. They’re found in deep water

a piece of advice: please try to not assume your viewer is a pro at the topic you're discussing. In particular, near the end of your video you discussed trawlnetting loot, and said you could get "The best weapon...." I forget if you said in game, in shipwrecked, or in what...but you didn't say what that weapon was! I've noticed a couple other instances where you refer to something without saying what exactly that something is, playing "The pronoun game" making the watcher ask what you are referring to without telling us. Please try to avoid that in your videos! Great video otherwise, as always.
