The two of you have such a great sense of humour! Just love you guys. Wonderful job on the lights. I never knew one could re-purpose/upgrade the fixtures like that. Well done, you!!! I was thinking, while watching you sitting and talking, that the work bench in the background might benefit from a couple of lights over it. As it is, the light from the “new” fixtures will possibly throw a shadow on whatever you may be manufacturing on the bench as the light will come from behind you, as you work. Just a thought. What a joy - I look forward to the notifications that another video is up. Your family is a light in my life - thank-you for sharing yourselves with all of us. God bless! 👵🏻🐾💕🇨🇦

I remember how worrisome it was to sell the old mobile home in order to get this property and we all had no idea how fabulous this was going to turn out. You both worked so hard and then helped Jeff too. The work did not stop and look at the reward. This winter you will be cozy and warm. The tidy barn is a bonus area this winter for the kids to maybe skate and burn off energy hahaha. Good job my friends, what a journey to get to this point. ❤️

Hello !!! 🤗🤗🤗disculpen Ingles my language is Spanish but I try to understand the words you speak. I am following them from the beginning and I have seen the enormous work you went on to repair everything. The truth is that the work they have done is spectacular the house to be beautiful. It is another house. I also like how you explain and the way you do things. I am very happy that they are progressing. Go ahead and do not stop. Now what is missing is that accommodating all your tools so that your work area looks spectacular .. that God takes care of them and fill them with many bendiciones🥰 will continue to see their progress.

Doug and Ashley: rewires an entire house and barn. Me: Too scared to change out the non-working kitchen light fixture. That's why I love watching you guys. Watching over the past couple of years has removed a lot of the uncertainty I've had of doing certain home improvement projects. I was brought up in a time where home improvement was left to the "professionals" which is fine for some things, but it can get really expensive really quickly for a lot of things. Toilet breaks? Call the plumber. Light fixture craps out? Call an electrician. Would I rewire my house now? No, but I will change out a light fixture. Would I replumb my house now? No, but I will fix my toilet or sink, which I have done on more than one occasion. You have no idea how huge a public service you two provide for those of us who are less than handy! Anyway, EXCELLENT job!

I have really gotten to love your channel. I love the fact that you guys do things right and you think of safety above all else. I love that you take something shabby and restore it to like new condition. I really think you guys are just amazing and should be very proud of what you’ve accomplished. Not everyone has your skill or even desire to improve their homes and property. I came from a very poor background and as I grew up I knew I wanted something better and there’s nothing wrong with wanting to improve your circumstances and be better parents to your children than what (I) you had. I also found that by shopping used, I could furnish my home and it could still be pleasing and tasteful. Hugs to you both, Grandma
