The time in-between the events of The Wonder Years, which slowly drove Kevin Arnold into insanity, and his later emergence as a Wet/Sticky Bandit during the events of Home Alone 1 & 2. He did kind of look like Fred Savage when he was younger.

When he shouts "Jazz!!", that is another one of Daniel Stern's most legendary screams. Although they can't quite top the screams in the first two Home Alone movies and in Bushwhacked. His screams as Marv are very legendary

What's crazy about Home Alone is that in those days movies stayed in the theaters as long as they generated good ticket sales. Home Alone was in theaters a WHOLE year from Christmas to Christmas. People were still going in droves to see it in July. Growing up as a kid it's the only movie I ever remember lasting that long.

Anyway; if 1,she likes to listen to the music, and 2, if all of these trivial things,such as even organizing by year,etc,really are that big a deal to him, why doesn't he just make up a list of all these little but big things, and place it near his record collection, the son of a bitch?

Some people are like that. Now can you imagine if Beth was a Corporate Librarian and she "Misfiled" The Documentation, and Shrevie was her Supervisor, she would have been fired. Also, it wasn't so much Beth misfiling his records it's that he was probably scared that The Closeness with his Friends would end upon Eddie getting married. I found him, Boogie, Eddie and Fenwick the biggest "Jerks". Shrevie was also very selfish, he seemed to care more about his Friends than her.
@MrJamieMurph41419698 жыл бұрын
Like the one thing I had said in a comment on the other copy of this video, his doing what he does here, both (mentally)abusing Beth, AND favoring "a night out with the boys,"than quality time with his wife,today would definitely be good reasons for divorce, on her part,anyway.
@laminage8 жыл бұрын
You are so right about The "Mental Abuse" part. I never thought of it that way until you bought it up. Excellent Analysis. I think Shrevie feels that his "Friends" should come first because he knew them longer.
@mrhoffame8 жыл бұрын
I'm TOTALLY just as anal as he is lol. ..just not as rude and mean. I made these little place markers out of cardboard and stuck little paper guitars on the end. That way when my girlfriend went to pull out a record she just used those to mark the spot lol.

Also keep in mind that it was 1959, things have changed so much in nearly 60 Years. He finds the Music the one calming influence in his life, his Job, his relationship with his Friends, and his Marriage. Also, the Music for him takes him back to a life without so many responsibilities. My Late Uncle was like that, he moved out of his Parents House but he always had to spend time there, it was like he never learned to Emotionally Separate from his Parents. Shrevie never learned "Emotional Separation" that's why he has a hard time with people.

Shrevie would make a good football coach,truly-it's very plain,from the tone he uses with Beth here. And I guess that is supposed to be a comment in a most sincere and biting way-you get the picture,I'm sure;the things he says,all,like,"For the fiftieth time,that's NOT the way I showed or taught you how to do it!" precisely things you can picture your typical football coach saying to his players during practice,OK,even if they just don't get it right a number of times over,but still,having to stand there and be a dartboard for such idiot rage,like Beth is here.
