Yes she is gorgeous as is. And I find her nose beautiful, I would never consider that big at all. She looks good after the edit too but I prefer before. The change in the chin gave her a slightly harsher, more angry look but I understand it makes her look more like your conventional model since they tend to have stronger jaws.

In the edit they pulled out the freaking maxilla, not just the chin. And that is actually one of the most difficult things to change. You can get chronic pain for life and it's not recommended for everyone. Usually it is for severe cases to improve functionality of dental oclusion and life quality. This is not realistic for 99% of people. Hopefully you can redo this with a more conservative edit in a longer video.
@SY-ok2dq6 ай бұрын
Exactly. Maxillofacial surgery is complicated, and takes more time in surgery, and involves CUTTING INTO JAW BONES. It's this last part which can cause complications and which is very tricky to do correctly. If it does not go well, it can result is SEVERE pain and other problems. Also, healing time is far longer than other facial surgeries. In comparison, nose surgery is one the easiest surgeries, depending on what is done. Downtime for healing is a lot shorter than jaw surgery, and complications generally far fewer and less severe (especially for the 1st surgery - complications can arise with later revision surgeries to the nose). Nose surgery is a lot cheaper than maxillofacial surgery, making it more of a realistic choice for many people.

Most people will find exactly this part attractive about you, but they will think that part in their head instead of telling you directly. Even strangers in the streets... i was also feeling like you as a teenager, growing up looking at the media.... later i realised that there is absolutely nothing wrong with me. So I’m an artist, and one issue artists face when doing portraits is “same face syndrome,” where every face you draw has the same proportions. That’s what I feel like plastic surgery is trying to accomplish- people who all want to take away their unique features so they can look like stereotypical models A, B, or C.
@Thesamurai19992 ай бұрын
Well, I’d rather look like a stereotypical model than a troll 😭

@@Thesamurai1999 really? Plastic surgeries are so appalling, like the fact that people opt for the same exact facial feature to get rid of their authentic selves (with no option of going back) just is purely horrid 💀 and it’s not smart because stereotypical models A, B or C are _forever_ deprived from the “attractive” trait since they don’t stand out at all and their beauty is so accessible since it’s doctor’s creation and will soon dominate the planet and there is never an “undo button” lmao. You didn't just change her chin you changed her whole jaw which is way more difficult than a nose job. Not everyone has enough money to completely re-do their face just to live up to unrealistic beauty standards.
@reve6056 ай бұрын
He moved forward her maxilla (upper jaw forward growth) which is the bone of our midface and is connected to many other bones in the skull and no sane cosmetic surgeons will do that, it is HIGHLY DANGEROUS! A lot of our face bone structures/proportions are just genetics and that just it.

I've had sort of recessed jaw like hers, and all I had to do to fix it is... simply jut my lower jaw forward until the facial muscles got used to holding the jaw in forward position. It didn't even take that long to accomplish, and I don't even consciously think about it ever.

Thats a cheapskate thing to say. If you're going to bother getting any work done get the correct area done. Don't get the wrong area done because you're a miser. People spend too much money on handbags and cars to try look cool. If you're going to spend money do it correctly, thoughtfully and for the long term positive outcomes. Don't think small and cheap.

@@CeasefireNow2024I’m sorry but what do you mean? I don’t understand what are you are talking about. You can read other comments that explain better than me but my point is that moving the jaw forward surgically is very dangerous and expensive. Definitely not worth the risk. Assuming she's even a real person, with the way people sign consent forms without reading them, it's very possible she agreed without realizing it. When pictures need to be taken for treatment purposes, the treatment consent form should mention it, but it usually specifies something like "for treatment, teaching, and/or promotional purposes." I always just write in my own caveat that says images that show any identifying characteristics can only be used for treatment purposes.

Less conventionally attractive people get treated worse and are viewed as less friendly, less likeable and less competent. The pretty privilege is real. If you really are objectively ugly there should be an option to change that. Saying everyone is beautiful in their own way doesn't help and is sadly wrong

@@namenloserflo I have to disagree with you on that one. As someone whos experienced both ugly and pretty, people approach me way less now. two years ago, when I was "ugly" people would tell me I seemed friendly and approachable. Now im often told I seemed intimidating and unfriendly at first by people who were hesitant to approach me 😭
@JustWhattaRuLookinAt6 ай бұрын
@@Lizzie.K84 It also heavily depends on where you live. Physical appearance in some countries like Korea heavily determines not only how you’re treated by others, but also the likelihood of easily landing a job (because of this they literally require a profile photo of yourself on resumes or for basically anything). So, if someone’s “conventionally unattractive” by their standards, life isn’t gonna be convenient living there. If not looks, then having a lot of money mainly replaces that value and status. Koreans tend to care a lot about material things like designers because appearing wealthy vs looking poor also affects how people treats you as well.

Do you actually believe that everyone looks alike? Do you just look at influencers and famous people on social media all day and think that just because that VERY small subset of the population looks alike, that means everyone is morphing into each other? Go outside. Everybody looks different, no not everyone is turning into “clones” of one another, you just spend too much time looking at people on social media with influence whose literal job is to mold themselves into the beauty standard, and no they are not a large group of people, they’re a fraction of a fraction of a percent of the population. If you actually go outside you’d see that quite literally everyone looks different.

It's so crazy because beauty standards from culture to culture are wildly different and through time change. In some cultures having smaller chins is more desirable or a nose that is longer is more desirable. If we look at the movie stars from the past we will see the beauty standards change with every 10 to 20 years. Unless you have something incredibly wrong with your body, just leave it alone.

Plastic surgery culture especially in the Western world is so normalised, so disguised under "self care" or "your body your choice" kind of situation, when in reality it is extremely toxic and dangerous and can mess up your life permanently and severely. It's just sad that this obsession with perfection and youth has affected our society so bad that we cannot even notice beauty in diversity, only applying one default pattern which is accepted as beautiful. Truly horrifying.

I had a chin implant and it was one of the biggest regrets of my life. I let shit like this and other things online bother me, was self conscious and depressed for years. But it felt and looked so unnatural. Even from award winning surgeons, you can't trust them. Now I have a scar under my chin to remind me and hair doesn't grow there, but luckily with the beard I've opted to grow it just covers it with enough length. And no, jaw surgery is no better, literally cutting off your chin and screwing in back in further is also horrendous thing to do. Just be grateful and happy with what you have, these guys are ALL money grabbing scumbags that never have your best interests at heart. Edit: just to clarify, my implant is now removed, thank God. If only I could have never made that mistake in the first place and saved the waste of money, stress, pain, etc. But life goes on and I'm good now.
