I’ve just now realised something. yuri, sayori and natsuki all stand at an angle, not looking at you head on, in other words, not being aware of your existence. monika, however, breaks this rule. she looks straight at the camera. and unlike the others, she never looks away from you at any point in the game, she knows. she knows she’s in a game. she’s not looking at the main character. she’s looking at YOU. dan salvato is a genius.

I avoided this game for a long time because I assumed it was another silly or catering anime-style game, especially upon seeing a lot of the beginning parts. But I just put someone else's playthrough of it on in the background and became super invested when I made it to the meat of the actual game. Can't wait to watch it again, this time going back to when he played it!
