I think it depends on the horse and the guard blues and Royals don't put up with any crap this is the first time I've ever seen these guards on duty here and I really like them they're very young but they're learning and I believe they're going to move up in rank maybe move on to be one of the Blues and Royals and I love their uniforms they're very very sharp❤❤❤❤

I've seen that color lady a few times in different videos just stand there and stare at the ground look at the police try and get their attention she's done that when blues and Royals were on and now she's doing it with these horses and guards I'm pretty sure the police know who she is because they've told her in other videos to move along or what was she doing just standing there like being very very suspicious but I just wanted to put that out there the first time I've ever seen her there with these guards and horses. I don't understand people grabbing the reins. Tourists have the right not to know English, but if you are afraid to touch the horse (with the consent of the guardian), stand at a safe distance and do not hold the reins (comparable to a passenger grabbing the steering wheel of a car while driving).

Manes are roached on all gun horses in the King’s Troop for practical reasons due to the demands of getting on and off quickly during Royal salutes . The bits used are port mouth reversible bits , a type of pelham. They are commonly used in military and police horses as they are very adaptable; the reins can be attached at three different points depending on how much control is needed. As for your last question….Different regiments, different customs, different roles.

Although it might be tempting to pat or give a scratch to the horses, DON’T TOUCH THEM! People act so surprised when they hear the guards yelling at them, it’s common knowledge to NOT touch an unknown animal, with permission IF the person isn’t busy with something, if they are going on a quick walk with their horse, leave them alone. If they don’t look busy/are standing there, you MIGHT be able to ask, but use your judgment. This DOES NOT apply to the guards! They are at work, and that includes the horses! Plus, it’s just flat out dumb to touch the reins? And why on earth are so many people crowding the horse/s! As exciting as it is, BACK UP AND GIVE THEM SPACE! You can easily stress out and or spook the horse! And spooking the horse is dangerous for all three party’s! (The horse, guard, and the people there)
